Thanks Lisa. I like the idea of cutting the sky out of the picture, but I don't like the point cut off on the right and the curve of the bay cut off on the left. Just cropping the sky that way, however, would make an even wider panorama. I tried to avoid a wide panorama by stretching the image vertically, and stretching it further would cause degradation of the image. |

Thanks, Richard. The only distortion I saw was the slight lean in the tallest tree on the peninsula. But it wasn't so much that it seemed odd or unreal to me. If you are seeing something different, please let me know. |

Cute kids! They always seem to be interested in drones. I was in a park this summer when I lowered and caught the drone near a couple of kids. I was willing to let them hold the controller while they raised and turned the drone, but their mother would not let them. Perhaps she was afraid of their begging her to buy them one! :)
Nice documentary capture of the museum. I like the straight-on view better than the overhead view in the original. I would recommend not warming up the colors quite so much, though; the sky and the grass have taken on a bit of an unnatural color. |

Nice sky and beautiful lighting on the hills. Although the trees are yellow, as you mentioned, I do not look at this image and immediately think fall color. What I do see is a wide expanse of an interesting scene. But for me, I would prefer to see a more close-up view of something that would provide a more well-defined subject. Perhaps flying lower, making the tree on the lower left appear larger. (I do recognize that a lower view might block the nicely lit hills, however).
I like the diagonal line the river makes... it provides a nice leading line up and to the right away from that tree. |

I really like what you have done with the colors in this photo, and the handling of the sky was very good. You have cropped for a good composition, and removed small distractions.
A recommendation I would make would be to think about the path that the viewer's eye moves through a photo. Bright areas, sharply focused areas, and high contrast areas will attract the viewer's eye. One of the photographer's jobs is to lead the viewer's eye through a photo so they see what the photographer wants them to see. This image is quite bright overall. I suggest applying a vignette to draw the attention to the center subject area. And then use a bit of dodging and burning to lighten and darken the areas where you do or do not want to focus their attention.
Very good photo, overall! |

A beautiful sky, but when creating a silhouetted image, you need to make sure the black silhouettes have a defined outline. The black shapes on the left side of this image are not easily identifiable, and I, personally, would like to see a little more detail in the palm tree and the dock. You would probably need multiple exposures to accomplish this. |

An attractive view of patterns and lighting. I do think I would like to see a more defined subject... perhaps a closer view of the arch itself. |

An interesting story and a very good photo! I like how you have processed it, warming up the tones and darkening down the background sky, and lightening the curve of the bridge structure. Good job! There's not too much I would recommend... perhaps using a radial gradient to lighten up the ship area underneath the arch of the bridge. |
