I like the reflection in the water, and I'm even ok with the vehicles along the road since their reflections add to the scene. But I think a time of day with prettier light might have made a better image. I also find the sandbar or rocks in the foreground distracting.
The image looks like it is leaning to the right. I see from the small amount of horizon on the right that it is almost level, but sometimes when I have found images look tilted, I have tilted them a little in the opposite direction to make them look level, even when they are not. |

Although the black and white is better than the color original, and the saguaro do stand out better, it doesn't seem like a particularly compelling image. I have found the saguaro forests very difficult to photograph. I have tons of pictures of them, and I don't think I have any that I particularly like!
I like the ridgeline at the top of the image, but the cacti themselves don't make the best subject. Perhaps if you flew down close to one to make it large in the image, it would make a better picture. Not your best work, I'd say. |

The Great Lakes do not really have tides. The gravitational pull of the moon is so slight that atmospheric changes and pressures exert a greater influence than the moon. Interestingly enough, the Mediterranean doesn't have tides either. When I was there and asked our local guides about tide charts, they laughed at me and said there are no tides in the Mediterranean. |

I use Air Control (previously Aloft). I didn't think it marked out the National Parks, but I just went and looked, and it did. Which app are you using? |
