85 Jun 22 Reply Thank you, Janos. Glad I got to meet you in Menorca last month. Happy flying! Jun 30th
85 Jun 22 Reply Thank you, Lisa. Yes, people can go there, and it is a great little lagoon for swimming that is protected from the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Ferries go out there, and I have at least one shot with a boat entering the channel. Jun 30th
85 Jun 22 Reply Yes, I'm getting a little more comfortable with flying out over water, but it is still a little unnerving!

Thank you. I too would have liked to have spent more time there and shot that pinnacle up close. But we had launched from the land to the right of the picture, so even going out this far was quite a ways. I did take a quick sweep around the island and this is a stitched but unprocessed image taken from out there looking back. As you can see, the pinnacle was actually much wider when viewed from this angle. I was getting low on battery so I didnĂ‚´t spend much time out there.

85 Jun 22 Reply Hi Don. Thank you. I have a DJI Mavic 2 Pro. It has a little Hasselblad camera in it. For a point-and-click, it is a really great camera. Jun 15th

85 Jun 22 Comment Nice job in leveling up the image. There is a lot of sand in the lower middle without a defining subject. Sometimes when viewing vast scenes such as a view from a mountain the pictures don't carry the same weight as when you were there viewing the beauty of the scene. This can also be true when shooting from a drone and I think it is extra important to define the subject for your image. If it was the S curve in the sand, then it is not very visible. Perhaps flying lower and getting a more oblique shot would have helped. Also, perhaps shooting when the sun was low in the sky so that shadows were cast across the scene, making the texture and designs in the sand more visible might have worked.

Also, keep in mind that it is ok to have a bit of haze in the background when there are mountains. Increasing the contrast has darkened down the mountains and you have lost the feeling of depth. Try increasing the contrast on just the lower part of the picture.

85 Jun 22 Comment We didn't get any great light that day while we were flying the drones. The light was great just before sunset but I think you had put your drone away by then and we were all shooting with our cameras. I agree with Pete in that I think it would have been a better composition if you had come in lower and shot just the arch, along with perhaps the end of that peninsula. You did a good job with increasing the color and the saturation, but you have almost lost the fact that there is ocean in the upper left corner. I would try to save that horizon line (I wonder how this would look with a sky replacement with a few clouds). Also, you have more on the right in the finished image than you do in the original, so I'm wondering if perhaps you put two panels together in creating the finished image. Jun 15th
85 Jun 22 Comment Beautiful waterway, and I see why you wanted to capture it. However, I don't think cropping off the horizon line helped you very much, it looks like you have two leading lines along the edges of the river leading up to the top of the image and almost bumping into the top. Too much going on at the very top. I think it might have been better to have brought out a little bit of the color in the sky which matches the sunlight shining on the water, and that gives a little more breathing room at the top. Also, I recommend against lightening the water as you did, you lose some of the nice detail in the water. Instead of lightening the entire image, just try to lighten the shadows a bit. Jun 15th
85 Jun 22 Comment I like the increased saturation. The foreground is taking up about half the image without adding very much, and I think the people in the image waving at the camera detract from the image and make it seem to be just a selfie. I would consider cropping quite a lot off the bottom. If not, then perhaps darkening down the lower right and left corners with a vignette and perhaps lightening the road to provide a path with a leading line to the middle ground and background, which has some very interesting features!
