Thanks all for the comments. Been off for a while as we had a storm with winds of up to 197 Km/h so I have been without power for 9 days. Back full tilt again. Still a little torn as to which way but printed and mounted the darker version. I do see your point Gloria of the foreground, middle and backgrounds. Just before losing power took out a subscription to lightroom and photoshop and will have to see how that goes. Thanks again. |

Thanks Isaac. It is quite a long footbridge and that was about the only shot I could get the whole thing in

Gloria,
Love the colours and the simple composition. As Bruce has identified it does leave you curious as to how far the road goes. I also wonder if there is a game or rules. The crop helps focus on that road. |

Bruce, I like the layering of the kids (all in focus which is great), the truck, the greenery and that mysterious little hole in the greenery. You have captured the moment at the key point, nicely done. |

Les,
You appear to have captured the essence of the man. Like Bruce I am left with a sense of mystery with his dress in that climate. What is in that bag? His possessions? Work gear/tools? The photo fills the viewer with all kinds of questions keeping them totally engaged. I like the patterns of blue and of the fence. Very powerful image.

Isaac,
I really enjoy when you place things in social context. It makes the photo so much more meaningful. I like it without any additional cropping as it shows the busyness of the occasion. I am drawn to the repeating patterns - the bread racks, the fire escapes and the arches reflected in the window. Does it need a slight vertical perspective adjustment? Nice image

Thanks Bruce. I have been partial to the darker image but my instructor demonstrated how he would do it in class and we tended to be split. I am doing a photo book of the class so I guess the easy way out is to print both
