Thanks Bruce. I think that cropn would also address the issue of the distorted pole that Isaac worked so hard to fix. |

Thanks Dan, I guess it is bicycle month. Yes, Isaac's approach worked well. I had to wait for someone to come and sit but I think you are right it helps direct the photo |

Thanks Gloria. I did not try it in B&W (yet) as I was trying for colour cohesion through this exercise. |

I like the colour as well. Just can't make up my mind which I like best although leaning toward colour as it also brings more emphasizes to the park at the end of the walk.

Bruce, I like the crop you did, the original was a little busy. I would think this should qualify as a street scene. The convergence of the various pathways, as well as the lone person with an umbrella make for an interesting image that draws you in to the centre and then out to explore the rest of the scene. |

I like that it is not evident what the boy is carrying (title aside) and that we only see the side of the face as it leaves a little mystery. I really enjoy the repeating patterns; the doors, the flags, the bikes, the yellow pole bases and even the crosswalk. I think I would have cropped out the car and the one bike and tightened the top a little, I think Isaac's crop nailed it. |

I like the black and white but, as Isaac said, it might have been interesting to see the greens and reds together in almost a dual tone with the walkway and the rest of the scene desaturated. I like the way the leading lines take us to the walker and to the RV's parked beyond. I expected the RVers become major users of the bikes. |

Thank you Isaac for the thoughts and the work you did on it. It does seem to have more life to it after your tweeks. |

I am quickly learning from you settings how to improve my "bus shots", thanks for that. It is a wonderful documentary photo. As you pointed out the lack of safety equipment and as you can see from you photo that includes motorcycle helmets. It is vibrant and colourful with tremendous depth of field and as indicated captures the rural life. I think it a great composition considering you are passing on a bus. |

I really like the expression you caught, that 1/500th really helped. The hat provided a lot of character; did you wait for a specific look? I think way you have desaturated the background or emphasized the foreground works great. Leaving a little of the crowd around your crop indicates the size of the event. You definitely add to the story with the additional images. Would it be improved removing the orange object and the flag?
