58 Mar 22 Reply Thanks Bruce. A couple of good ideas. Completely forgot about the possibility of a star burst Mar 31st
58 Mar 22 Reply Oops, sorry about that Mar 22nd
58 Mar 22 Comment Nicely framed showing a walk with purpose. As Dan said the patterned shadows in the foreground add a lot of interest, while the fences provide the leading lines. There is a white spot in the sky, is that a feature or an artifact and should it be removed? Really enjoyed the photo. I think the notion of seeing the potential and following until you got the framing make the photo Mar 14th
58 Mar 22 Comment The concentration and tension of the outstretched hands. Did it topple or not? It does leave the viewer wondering. Would it be stronger if the background was slightly desaturated?

58 Mar 22 Comment Everything just points to the great subject, the lines on the street and the look from the bystander. I think the cropping of the runner in the background was a good one as the motion would detract from the main character even though he is such a strong image as mentioned by others - the tattoos and the size of the man vs. his dog. 58 Mar 22 Comment I think the choice of high shutter speed was a good one here freezing both the fountain and the drips from the boy. Some might crop out the feet at the top but I feel that leaving them has shown how the boy and father are isolated yet in a crowd. Strong image. Mar 14th
58 Mar 22 Comment I like the dominance of repeating shapes while the sweeping lines still draw me to the cyclist. The reflection provides a sense of place. Mar 14th
58 Mar 22 Comment I really enjoy the way you place the photo in context. I like the way the colour coherence of red forms a diagonal that draws you through the picture. The photo seems to catch a way of life. The reflections in the window leaves me curious as to what I am missing. As Dan pointed out it is an interesting juxtaposition of the modern and the crumbling. Nice shot Mar 14th
58 Mar 22 Reply Agreed. Unfortunately at -25C I wimped out and did a couple of quick shots and ran. Mar 14th
