Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
11 Jun 22 Comment I looked at the B&W image for some time (on and off for a couple of days) before looking at the color image. I believe the color image can stand on its own, but if I were to print this, it would be the B&W image all day long. I love the sky over the ships in the background. Jun 18th
11 Jun 22 Comment Thank you, gentleman, for your valued comments. I appreciate it.

I wanted to compose the vertical and diagonal lines of the wall and window contrasting with the sky. Shooting in late day would give me an opportunity for shadows of trees and nearby walls. I also enjoy the weathered detail and crack in the wall. Maybe the shadows take away from that detail. The shadows certainly add complexity. Imagine if I return to the site and photograph the wall without the shadows.

I never noticed the distraction of the wall on the lower left side of the image. I do see it as a distraction. I need to concentrate more on cropping and these details you gentleman point out are helping me.
