Very nice, almost looks like a studio portrait. I especially like the way the whiskers show up against the background. His right eye looks a little dark, maybe a slight increase in brightness? |

Thanks Julia, the petals are somewhat translucent and this photo caught that. |

Hi Oleg, your image does document the scene around part of the St Petersburg harbor in the winter, and it conveys a sense of the cold temperature with what looks like steam coming from the distance smoke stacks and the bundled up men out on the ice. And the hydrofoils add interests. But if it were me out there on that very frigid day, I would have wondered out on the ice to get some closeup shots of the fishermen. I think the third one from the left would have made a great subject sitting there waiting for a bite. |

Hi Jill, sounds like quite an adventure, eight days on the Colorado. This a very nice image, the leading lines of the stream draw the viewer right into the image's focal point- the waterfalls. The striations on the rock surfaces also do the same thing. One thing that I'm not sure of is the color balance- to me the image seems to have a slight orange tint. I took your image and reduced the color temp some and here is the result. |

Hi Drema, actually as I was processing the photo I did think of the similarities to your January photo with the opening in a large wooded area. Thank you very much for your analysis.
I saw the composition more in terms of the foreground and background. The house and pool set a good focal point for the photo amid the trees and greenery. The mist rising from the hills, the clouds, and the rainbow are all background elements that tie together nicely with the idea of a passing storm. The shadow that runs horizontally through the image helps to further define the depth of the background elements along with golden hour light tying together the weather related aspects. |

Very nice landscape image and I like the framing with the cinder cone and the warm light on the far off mountains. I might consider a slight increase in contrast clarity on just the cone, it might help it stand out even more. |

Nice image, really gives an idea of the location. A good landscape image needs an anchor point and I think the pier works for this. Also the curved shore line is nice balance for the straight lines of the buildings and streets. The image feels a little flat, perhaps a slight increase in contrast of the water might help. |

Looks like a good day to keep the boat at the dock! I agree with Drema that the photo could be improved with a 'dehaze' of the foreground boats a little. Also, I might try to bring up the boat shadows on the water. |

This is a great sunset photo having one of the golden gates towers nicely silhouetted. I think the foreground is a little too dark, especially the grassy area and parking lot. I would try to lighten these areas a bit but not so much that you lose the sunset feel. |

This is a great image an I can't think of much that might make it better. One thought is perhaps a slight increase in the warmth of the midtones to enhance the golden hour feel. |
