Looking at the photo, the effect of the sandstorm must have created an eerie feeling amongst the population. The image has successfully captured an unusual event, well done! |

Interesting image, I like how you shot it and the threshold effect processing. I wonder why the software took out the shadows in two place, between the lines that are on the court. |

It was a difficult shot: I switched between GoPro and DSLR and I was certain that one would drop overboard (didn't!). Then I did spend any time with cam setting, I wanted photos but I also wanted to enjoy the experience. I knew that underexposure is better than overexposed so the original is dark (didn't focus bracket- should have). Thank you. |

Nice mountain scene with the foreground forming a 'V' to river. Looks like there's a slight change in color of the leaves but no real autumn colors yet. |

Hey Jill, this one of those scenes that is difficult to capture on film (well not film but you know). In general I think rainbows are difficult and in this scene the very bright mountain on the right grabs the eye away from the subject rainbow. I like the composition with the river on the right and the sky is perfect but mountain is almost blown out in the original which makes it near impossible to get it right in post. This scene could have been improved if you used the exposure bracketing feature of the camera and you (actually the software) combines exposures in post; if you haven't used it before you should give it try, for certain scenes it really improves the dynamic range of the cam. |

This looks like a another very interest location in Utah, I need to get out there again. I like the composition with the spire and shadow in foreground canyon wall in the background. I agree with others that there is a limited dynamic range that make the image appear somewhat flat and the sky mayhave been darkened a little too much.. |

Hi Patrick, this image illustrates one of the advantages of photography with a drone- taking a photo from a vantage point that would be very difficult to achieve otherwise- not a great altitude but directly over the river. I like the image a lot, didn't notice the bridge tilt. |

Lucky Alex going to Kauai, certainly a beautiful place and such a nice place bury a drone at sea-- sorry! I can see from this image that it took excellent photos. I agree image slightly over saturated and the horizon has a slight lean to it. |

Hey Lou, I like everything about this image: the cloud colors, the water reflection, the composition, the cloud shadows on water, etc. The sharpening is just a little strong for my tastes, slightly softer, especially with the trees and the beach. |

Thanks Pete, I took quite a few shots that day and I do have some with the windrows running diagonally. Next month I may use another image from that shoot. |

Thanks Mike, I hadn't consider a portrait framing- I'll give it a try! |

Thanks Drema for taking the time to modify the image, I do now see that the dust cloud does not match the rest of the image's tones. I especially like the way you handled the crop. I agree the right side has more interest and there is enough on the left to see the windrow pattern. I may use another image from this shot for December's image. |

Hi Pete, thanks for the comments. I thought the story was the harvester doing it's thing and to realize this both the harvested side and the crop side were needed. but Drema's composition improves upon this. |

Good photojournalism shot of the bridge construction. I agree with others regarding the trucks. This image is indicative of the tremendous amount of construction that is taking place at the moment in FL. |

"Split Rock Lighthouse" - appropriate name. The composition is very good and given the original image I think you probably did the best processing possible. This looks like a place where an overnight stay in the area would be fun and give you time to explore and get good light. |

Nice overall image with great fall colors (perhaps a little too much saturation- something I often do as well). Cloud reflection adds to the image but would like to see the last little edge of the highway on the right border. |
