Very cute- you could not have gotten a better pose if you set him up yourself! There is some detail is lost on the body fur but you do have good detail on the face and eyes. Good image. |

Abstract, certainly. Very nice smooth lines and nice combination of tones. For me, there is too much dead space on the right. It's hard for me to imagine how you derived this image from a photo of a staircase, I kind of see it but not. Well done. |

Ah, nothing like corn on the cob and a coke. Both kids a cute but I wonder how it would look if we cropped out the kid on the left. I do like the left one's facial expression. |

Jill, I like it! Doc is perfectly in focus with the posts in the background framing and enough blur to make the subject stand out but no so much that you can't recognize the background objects. Exposure just right, well done. |

Hi Oleg, Your girls really look like they're having fun- great picture. But I think there could be some improvements in the post processing as illustrated in image I processed below (I made a quick selection of the back wall and did not take the time to work the hair). What do you think? |

I agree, this would be a great scene with snow and ice on the river but that time of year I'm back in FL. But I have thought of making a winter trip north for photos and this is one spot that I would hit. Thanks Lisa. |

Thanks Lou. They also have a gambling casino on the property. I think the local residents would rather have this than an active steel manufacturing plant. |

Thank you Drema (and Patrick) for these suggestions. Does the image below represent what you had in mind for the changes? |

Thanks Patrick, there was one step where I increased saturation to bring up the rust color and that produced a too blue sky. I should have used a HSL adjustment for rust. |

Patrick- there is nothing more that I can add regarding this excellent photo than what has been discussed above. But I would like to say welcome to our group and I look forward to seeing more of your work. |

Nice shot Drema, I however I think it would be better with the trees were minimized by a higher altitude. I really like the soft lighting on the facade. |

Well done Alex, great shot. I think cropping some of the sky from the top of the image would be helpful. |

Hi Mike, this is a place I have been by many time both in a boat and walking the beach from the boat. You have made a dramatic interpretation of the scene. I would say that in terms of composition, it might be better to have flown at a lower altitude so that the top of the lighthouse was above the horizon. |

Without the description, it is difficult for me to understand the photo. Perhaps dropping down closer to the boat or taking the shot when the farmer is actually pulling some of the crop out of the water would help. Is an interesting shot and without too much effort might be transformed into an abstract image? |

Hi Lou, what I found interesting in this image is the incongruity between the land that looks to me like almost a desert and the farm equipment ready to cultivate. Being from the East, farmland is green and fertile. I do notice to the very left of the image some greenery. The post processing looks very good, well done. |
