23 Feb 25 Comment Marilyn, Good candid photo and well done with seeing this image from the wide shot you took. I like your idea of cropping above the bottom of the table: the lower part adds nothing to the image and you're right it is a little confusing. The bright spots in the eyes can be reduced (unless this is what you like). Feb 12th
23 Feb 25 Comment General Grant never looked so good- nice solid shot, good timing and excellent tight crop. To me, the image looks just a little light, I made two slight adjustments- brought up the black level and increased the color temp. Feb 12th
23 Feb 25 Comment Very nice image and one of my favorite birds as well. I do like the foliage on the left but at the same time I wonder how the shot would look with a vertical format losing about one third of the left side. Feb 12th
23 Feb 25 Comment Santosh, excellent photo- composition, colors, story has it all. Thanks for sharing. Feb 12th

85 Feb 25 Comment Good creative image, plan for the image and execution both nicely done. I have experimented some with the Orton effect and thus far in my trials, I liked the originals better. And same for your image, I had no clue what it was I was looking at until I saw the original- could be just how my old brain works. I think the 'original' is a pretty neat image. Feb 12th
85 Feb 25 Comment Hi Mike, nice shot and certainly an interesting subject. I personally would rather see more of the geoglyph than the surroundings. A shot closer in and being able to see you more distinctly might give the viewer a better understanding of size. Feb 12th
85 Feb 25 Comment So this could be a painting at some famous museum of modern art. Interesting shot, but without explanation I would not understand what I'm looking at (like most modern art). Feb 12th
85 Feb 25 Reply Thanks Alex, it is one that will be printed! Feb 12th
85 Feb 25 Reply Thank you Lou. I believe one reason the sky blends nicely with the image was that both images were shot from approx the same height. Feb 12th
85 Feb 25 Reply Thanks Pete for giving me an alternative view of this scene. I agree the green balloon is too tight and I could have given it more room. Feb 12th
85 Feb 25 Comment With these old barns, they are sometimes worth more as scrap- that old wood siding may be sold for a high price, lead paint and all! The image is just a little too bright, you did a nice job with the crop and composition. Fun fact- there are 3 boats in the pic. Feb 12th
85 Feb 25 Comment I like how you processed the image, especially the colors. The tones are subtle which gives a tranquil late afternoon mood to the image. In my opinion, you would have lost this feel with brightening the greens hues. The foliage in the foreground has green highlights and is enough leaving the background a bit darker. Feb 12th
85 Feb 25 Comment Good shot. I've actually seen this place a few years ago in one of my treks through PA. I also like the monochrome because it does include the top. One thing I noticed in both images is that the chimney has a slight lean to the left. Feb 12th
