23 Dec 24 Comment I have tried some hi key images with a few of my shots but none have come out a good as this one - good job. Nice to be able to attend a workshop being lead by outstanding photographer. Dec 16th
23 Dec 24 Comment Good still life image, appropriate for the Holiday season! The lens distortion of candies on the edge is interesting. Dec 16th
23 Dec 24 Comment Good shot of the monastery, good exposure and focus. The image provides the viewer with a good view of the building. It looks like a very interesting building with colorful building materials. When I'm traveling, it is sometimes difficult to arrange the time that photos are taken (especially on a tour of non-photographers!) but shots like the one above usually turn out better if taken with softer light, cloudy, or closer to sunrise or sunset. 23 Dec 24 Comment Hi Marilyn, yes I think it works! Nice to catch the wave just as it's cresting ready to break. And the floating seaweed adds to the story. Dec 16th
23 Dec 24 Comment Good creative image Jill. I like the nice warm tones of the autumn leaves and the blue swirls. If it were my image, I rotate the image about 45 deg cc image with a crop to see how it looked, i.e. so that the blue water swirls come out of the upper left corner of the frame. Dec 16th

85 Dec 24 Reply Thanks Mike, tourist just don't know what they're missing. Dec 26th
85 Dec 24 Reply Thanks Drema, when I get back up North in the spring (the NJ drone ban will be a distant memory... I hope), will return to this place later in the day - I like the idea of evening illumination. The blue sky may be a little daker than natural becouse in order to emphasize the water vapor being emitted by the towers, I darkened the blues somewhat. PS I think the only way an oil refinery can be describe as beautiful, is at night! Dec 26th
85 Dec 24 Reply That's kind of the way I feel about it also. Thanks Dec 15th
85 Dec 24 Comment Thanks Pete for your comments. Aside from a little later in the afternoon with longer shadows, a more humid day would have produced more cloud activity from the towers. Having the smoke stack shadows falling on those clouds might produce an interesting effect? Dec 14th
85 Dec 24 Reply Thank you Lou. Dec 14th
85 Dec 24 Comment Pete, well done! Like Lou said I can almost feel the air movement created by the falls and shown on the water's surface. Overall, the image has almost a prehistoric look. Dec 14th
85 Dec 24 Comment Very nice shot, the image reveals an interesting pattern on the tops of the cactus 'branches'. The shadow also adds to the composition. It might be beneficial to clone out the little bit of something at the bottom edge of the photo. Dec 14th
85 Dec 24 Comment It's a beautiful sky with the cacti silhouetted. Perhaps cropping more of the foreground might add to the image. Dec 5th
85 Dec 24 Comment This image really shows the effect of the fire, apparently the fire burned the hillsides but not down onto the cropland. I like the road leading into the scene and the orderly rows of crops. The image looks a little too sharp, too much structure or detail refinement? Dec 4th
85 Dec 24 Comment Very nice city photo, nice time for the shoot - lights are on but still enough natural light to see the sky and surroundings. I think my eye was first drawn to the green lights, the sign not so much. Dec 4th
85 Dec 24 Comment Good shot of the river and bridge. Until I read the info you provided, I did not realize the sky replacement - nice pick for the sky, good blending, to me it looks like the way it may have been shot. I think the fields in the center above the river are a little light, perhaps a tad more saturation and decrease brightness? Dec 4th
