Thanks Marilyn, Iceland is full of many photographic possibilities and this one was certainly not in a guide book! |

That's not bad. I can clearly see one border between two images (left image and center) and make out the other border but it is not a clear. |

Me also, the presets are good and easy to customize. Nice job. |

yes, as you can see from the original there was cropping done already on the block but your comment makes me think more is in order- perhaps crop and add more sky or clone some of the block away, or removing the highlights and darken. Food for thought, thanks Jill. |

I like the way you've used the highlights, the stick, wings, and head, brings the eye right to these points of interest. Vignetting also helps to center the attention. One thing though is the bird's back appears too black and loses detail. Did you use NIK for the conversion? |

Nice image Marilyn, the subject is in focus and exposure looks good. How did you do the monochrome conversion, NIK? |

I see an image with a flock of birds taking off and I wonder how they all know the direction of flight- if it were people they would be going in every which way, good thing people can't fly. Too bad the birds have a blur but a neat image just the same. Thanks for sharing. |

Overall a good image, makes me want to visit this place. I like the soft tones and the overall serene feeling the image projects. If it were my image, I would be tempted to crop the top just above the palm tree on the right. I love the tree (oak?) behind the two palm trunks on the left, but in my eye those palm trunks don't help the image. |

Beautiful shot: bright, colorful, nice contrast with the black sky and the subject is well framed with the foreground arch. The perspective could be adjusted to make the vertical line perpendicular- most imaging software can correct the distortion. |

I think this is a very creative idea for a composite image and makes for a challenging task to create. The composition is good and to trick the eye, the lines of the composite images need to match. How many layers did you use to make the image? |

Thanks Don, sunsets can be very colorful and this was no exception. Sometimes I get carried away with the saturation level but this was pretty much the way it was. |

Thanks Drema, it was the shot I had in mind when I started out that evening. This shot was taken on the third evening of visiting the location. One night no clouds, second night too overcast, and then I got lucky! |

Thanks Alex. In terms of cropping, the thing that I wanted to avoid was to have ½ water and ½ sky and by cropping water that is what might happen. I did get a set of ND filters with the fly more package but have yet to experiment. |

Pete, you find the coolest places to fly/shoot! Good time of day to shoot, long shadow from the crater and very nice tones. I would not have given the sky a second look if not for your comment, I like the sky as is. Very good shot and processing, interesting location. |

Very nice scene, cliffs leading down to a sandy or light colored beach area. My preference would be to see more of the sea and less of the homes and structures. The clouds do add impact to the photo and I think they could be developed a little further with the Shadows/Highlights adjustment. Overall a nice photo that gives a good sense of this location. |

Good shot Alex, lovely scene of the CA countryside. It might be interesting to come closer to the building and cattle making that the subject and the rest is beautiful landscape. Good job post processing. |

Lou, nice work on the post processing. Aside from the few suggestions above, I might try cloning out the road with the brown grassland. I like the rock in the middle of the river- helps make like a boundary between the more turbulent water and the smooth surface pool. |

Drema, nice shot- Sunsetting on a derelict tugboat. Occupying the foreground, the old tug does attract attention but I think that area could be lightened some to give it more emphasis. |

Hi Lisa, like your shot, almost makes me want to try a bunny burger. I also like the iPhone shot esp the warning about the door! My preference would be a closer in shot, and like Lou cropping out almost everything behind the rear roof line. |
