23 Jun 24 Reply Thanks Santosh, great suggestion. Jun 25th
23 Jun 24 Reply Thanks Marilyn, Iceland is full of many photographic possibilities and this one was certainly not in a guide book! Jun 25th
23 Jun 24 Reply I have a group of photos in my ethereal folder and this is one of them, thanks Julia. Jun 25th
23 Jun 24 Reply That's not bad. I can clearly see one border between two images (left image and center) and make out the other border but it is not a clear. Jun 21st
23 Jun 24 Reply Me also, the presets are good and easy to customize. Nice job. Jun 17th
23 Jun 24 Reply yes, as you can see from the original there was cropping done already on the block but your comment makes me think more is in order- perhaps crop and add more sky or clone some of the block away, or removing the highlights and darken. Food for thought, thanks Jill. Jun 15th
23 Jun 24 Comment I like the way you've used the highlights, the stick, wings, and head, brings the eye right to these points of interest. Vignetting also helps to center the attention. One thing though is the bird's back appears too black and loses detail. Did you use NIK for the conversion? Jun 15th
23 Jun 24 Comment Nice image Marilyn, the subject is in focus and exposure looks good. How did you do the monochrome conversion, NIK? Jun 15th
23 Jun 24 Comment I see an image with a flock of birds taking off and I wonder how they all know the direction of flight- if it were people they would be going in every which way, good thing people can't fly. Too bad the birds have a blur but a neat image just the same. Thanks for sharing. Jun 14th
23 Jun 24 Comment Overall a good image, makes me want to visit this place. I like the soft tones and the overall serene feeling the image projects. If it were my image, I would be tempted to crop the top just above the palm tree on the right. I love the tree (oak?) behind the two palm trunks on the left, but in my eye those palm trunks don't help the image. Jun 14th
23 Jun 24 Comment Beautiful shot: bright, colorful, nice contrast with the black sky and the subject is well framed with the foreground arch. The perspective could be adjusted to make the vertical line perpendicular- most imaging software can correct the distortion. Jun 14th
23 Jun 24 Comment I think this is a very creative idea for a composite image and makes for a challenging task to create. The composition is good and to trick the eye, the lines of the composite images need to match. How many layers did you use to make the image? Jun 14th

85 Jun 24 Reply Thanks Don, sunsets can be very colorful and this was no exception. Sometimes I get carried away with the saturation level but this was pretty much the way it was. Jun 21st
85 Jun 24 Reply Thanks Drema, it was the shot I had in mind when I started out that evening. This shot was taken on the third evening of visiting the location. One night no clouds, second night too overcast, and then I got lucky! Jun 17th
85 Jun 24 Reply Thanks Alex. In terms of cropping, the thing that I wanted to avoid was to have ½ water and ½ sky and by cropping water that is what might happen. I did get a set of ND filters with the fly more package but have yet to experiment. Jun 17th
85 Jun 24 Comment Pete, you find the coolest places to fly/shoot! Good time of day to shoot, long shadow from the crater and very nice tones. I would not have given the sky a second look if not for your comment, I like the sky as is. Very good shot and processing, interesting location. Jun 17th
85 Jun 24 Comment Very nice scene, cliffs leading down to a sandy or light colored beach area. My preference would be to see more of the sea and less of the homes and structures. The clouds do add impact to the photo and I think they could be developed a little further with the Shadows/Highlights adjustment. Overall a nice photo that gives a good sense of this location. Jun 17th
85 Jun 24 Comment Good shot Alex, lovely scene of the CA countryside. It might be interesting to come closer to the building and cattle making that the subject and the rest is beautiful landscape. Good job post processing. Jun 15th
85 Jun 24 Comment Lou, nice work on the post processing. Aside from the few suggestions above, I might try cloning out the road with the brown grassland. I like the rock in the middle of the river- helps make like a boundary between the more turbulent water and the smooth surface pool. Jun 15th
85 Jun 24 Comment Drema, nice shot- Sunsetting on a derelict tugboat. Occupying the foreground, the old tug does attract attention but I think that area could be lightened some to give it more emphasis. Jun 15th
85 Jun 24 Reply Thanks Lou, I agree that little bit to the left adds nothing to the image. Jun 4th
85 Jun 24 Comment Hi Lisa, like your shot, almost makes me want to try a bunny burger. I also like the iPhone shot esp the warning about the door! My preference would be a closer in shot, and like Lou cropping out almost everything behind the rear roof line. Jun 4th
