At some point I will probably enter this image in our local camera club in one of the monthly competitions and will go back to the original img to rework. Thanks Adelet for the suggestions. |

Thank you all that have commented on the image. I like the overall composition and didn't want to crop but that lower left corner was a problem. I had two other views from that same location so for fun I layered in a portion of one of the other images to fill in the hole. Without spending a lot of time on it, the result is certainly not perfect but passable..? |

Cute little dogs, good shot. But that large red item to left makes the image off balance. |

Adelet, due to it's great camouflage, I can see where it would be difficult just to see this bird let alone snap a picture. Your photo is very good, you have some eye detail and the branch with the feet and the horizontal above the head frame the bird somewhat. I don't know of a way to have the bird pop (or even if that's necessary) as there is so little difference between the birds tones and the background Spanish moss. |

Thanks for posting the original with the wake. My preference is with the wake but others might say without. Either way great image. |

I think your friend should find a nice wood frame to hang a copy of this image in her home. Great shot. |

Welcome Santosh to our group! Your first image is excellent, it does convey the women's emotional attachment to the horse. The composition is good. I see a couple of things that might make the image better: one is the lady's hair - in the original the individual hair strands may be seen but that is lost in the main photo. The other is the sky, some color correction (reduce brightness, make the sky cooler) in the sky area can bring out blue tones, I took the liberty to illustrate the results of this technique. |

Good shot Marilyn, looks like another good day to be on the water with plenty of good things to photograph. I'm trying to imagine what the shot would look like if more of the stern was included and more of the boat's wake. |

Good shot, I can see were it would be fun to watch the spectacle of the cranes bouncing around. I heard that they mate for life, I wonder if you're able to identify pairs.
One thing that might make this shot even better is to reduce the number of birds. I might try to clone out some of the ones in the first row and others in the 2nd row keeping the two that are moving. |

Thanks Jill, you're entirely right - there is a "black hole" lower left and in fact the whole image might need just a bit of brightening. Thanks. |

Thanks Alex for this shot, I haven't ever seen this place before. There are so many way to post process an image, some images are processed for realism while others are processed creatively. I do like your interpretation of this landscape, it gives an out of this world feeling. I might have tried to include the entire ash cone. |

Hi Don, good shot, nice tones and good composition. Good sky & clouds. I would like to see more of the building and less of the foreground, perhaps flying in closer to the building? An interesting aspect is the square outline in the prairie to the right of the road, I wonder what that was? The listing to the left is 'uncomfortable' for me, even if it is due to the topography I might have gone against mother nature and straightened it! |

Thank you Drema and all the others that commented on this image- these are aspects that unfortunately I would not have seen on my own. I have incorporated the suggestions into the image below. |

Thanks Don. Yup, I cloned out the clouds and it is a better image without the clouds (see below). |

I agree the left side detracts from the image. I did two daytime shoots of this location and on the first day I did shoot primarily looking straight out the channel with a single boat. It will be that one that is entered in the next competition of our local club.
Thanks for your suggestion. |

Every time I see one of your Iceland pics I want to go back again and hope for good weather like what you had! I personally like the original uncropped version better than the one displayed. For me, the greater shoreline and the additional mountain to the left add more interest. |

Lovely shot, the color yellow can be exciting color but in this case I feel it's more peaceful. Good crop. |

Very nice shot of this architectural object. The composition looks good to me and the with the 3 shot bracket, the exposure is good. The red light is a distraction and I look forward to the shot when the fountains are working. |

Very nice shot, it looks like there is a power generating facility in the foreground and lock next to it to the right. I like the 'Y' shaped leading lines to the lock location. I also think the sky is a bit blown out, I might consider a cropping out of almost all the sky. |
