Nice winter landscape showing fire damage, I like the tracks leading into the scene. I might be tempted to remove the electrical transmission lines with one of the tools available in your photo editing program. |

Hello Julia, we're very lucky to have you in our group! This is the second technique that you have illustrated with your images for which the rest of of the members were unfamiliar. This photo is excellent with perfect exposure and great detail. The backlight produces an interesting translucent effect on some of the petals. Thanks |

Jill- excellent photo! Exposure, focus, composition are working well and the reflection. Would have liked to see the original image. Not so sure about the feathers floating on the water, somewhat of a distraction, I would be tempted to clone them out but again can't do in a PSA nature competition.
Traveling to the Platte River to see the crane migration has been on my to do list, I'm happy you had a chance to get there. |

Nice gator shot, reminds me of the last time I played golf. I like the swirls of greenery in the water, the lighting, and the reflected image (esp the eye). I've attached another cropped version where mr gator is on a diagonal, don't know if it's any better just an alternate view. |

Thanks Shirley, for some people the eclipse has religious connotations and the church seemed appropriate. |

Thank you, it was fun to make. Those two vertical lines are probably lightning rods but not certain. |

Perhaps, as suggested above, the shot was taken closer in of just one group of shooters and the shotguns were more clearly defined, then the image would make more sense to those that are unfamiliar with this sport. Thanks for your comments! |

Thanks Don I appreciate your comments. If I do decide to make some follow-up shots, will be done closer in. |

Nice shot ... my bird survived!
Good idea about going at night, I see the lights in the photo so I assume they shoot after dark. I'll take a trip over there towards dusk, perhaps the light will be more interesting. Not sure how mine drown does in low light. |

Thanks Lou, I agree three shooting stations would be better, or maybe just one but I don't want to move in too close so that the UAV becomes a distraction to the shooters. |

Yes the pink is from the clay in the clay pigeons and with the many 1000's of shots it accumulates. Getting too close they might think the drone is actually a pigeon :). I'll go back sometime and try some closer in shots -close enough and perhaps get a shot with a target being hit in mid-air. |

Lou, sometimes all you need to do is wait and a subject will come floating into your frame, like a canoeist! |

One of the things that makes this shot interesting is that most photos of lighthouses show the light from the beacon inside, but this one has reflected light from the setting sun. I think the color/saturation in the processed image looks great. |

Nice blending of the three shots but in my opinion the top part of the image is just a little too dark. Also, I agree with Pete- a vertical format would show off better the market activity. Also maybe a little closer in to show more detail. |

Lucky you, you were actually able to see something on the peninsula. For our trip, we had rain and fog for the entire two days in this area. The photo captures a beautiful scene but my eye keeps looking for a subject. The sky and reflections are great. |

I'm trying to gain better understanding of photography with an UAV. The novelty and excitement of capturing a scene from a arial perspective goes just so far. Your image has the characteristics of a good landscape photo, irrespective of the altitude it was shot from. The canyon and stream create captivating leading lines, while the mountain and sky form powerful compositional elements. Additionally, the meandering stream off-center adds depth and interest, occupying a third of the frame. Great image! |

Hi Don,
Nice shot of the park and good time of day, nice soft light with pleasing sky. I might have tried a different composition (not knowing the terrain my idea may not be possible) but the children's play area seems to be the main subject and if you moved the drone to right and closer in, you might have been able to frame the rec area between two trees and shown better the peeps on the bench- just a thought. |

I like the image, the symmetry, and lines are squared up both horizontally and vertically. I think maybe just a tab more warmth to the image might make it more pleasing to my eye. |
