I imagine the paint brush tool in both PSCC and Affinity are comparable. For the hibiscus image that I did, I found the most difficult part was selecting the brush, flow rate and strength that would give the effect I was looking for. The PSCC filter that Bob used above produces a pretty cool result. And I do like the suggestion of cropping that was offered by several folks.
I think that both Affinity and PSCC offer so many features that it is way more than most people (at least me) could use and become skilled at. One big help has been the several people that post excellent videos on YouTube. |

Yes, I think you're right. I sometimes get too heavy-handed the levels. |

I played with your shot, here is what I came up with after levels adjust and eye modification. |

This represents an excellent use of ones time during an otherwise bad period. It is a very artistic image, I like the highlights on some of petals and the colors. Good color on the stroke.
Were the three flowers shot together or did you layer them. And is the texture one supplied by PS or did you import your own?
Thanks, a great shot. |

This photo brings back memories of a week I spent with friends on a Turkish Gulet sailing the Aegean sea- it also had 3 masts. We rode bicycles during the day exploring ancient sites in Turkey (Ephesus for an example) then ate and slept aboard the boat at night.
The photo is cropped nicely, and colors are realistic. One distraction for me is that the masts and deck get lost in the background. I'm not sure if the six white triangles are on land or the boat, I suspect on the boat but can't be certain. |

Very nice nature shot. Comments 1. Subjective: I would like to see more of the necks, but without looking at the original hard to say if that would be doable. Also those white spots I assume are water droplets, I might consider removing them so that you have a more tranquil look to the image. 2. The inside neck of the right swan has a blown out area. Overall, well done! |

Very creative use of an image of a waterfalls. I like the colors and blending, works well. But there are some thin colored lines and other shapes that don't belong to the swirl, it may be an artifact generated by the processing software or it may be something wonky with my monitor! |

I like the happy look on his furry face, good shot. One thing that I would try to do is remove the reflection in his eye, maybe with clone tool or healing tool. And perhaps increase contrast or saturation slightly. |
