Hi Kieu-Hanh, You make many good points. Alas, I can't do anything about his mouth but I could take down the white spot.I didn't really apply any sharpening to the image, so I could see it that would help alleviate the softness.Thanks. |

Thanks for the feedback. I switched from a Fuji XT3 to a Nikon Z6 II a few months ago and I'm considering going back to Fuji. Do you feel any compromise using APSC vs Full frame? |

John, I think this image would look much better in monochrome - only joking! Seriously, I love how you've "seen" so many varied building shapes, ranging from stark to the ornate. As the skyline is the subject, perhaps crop just a bit of the sky? |

Mary Ann, nice capture and good technique. The turbulent sky contrasts well with the stillness of the bird and the feathers are super sharp. To me, the placing of th subject in the frame seems just a little crunched. I might suggest cropping out to the right to make this an even stronger image. |

Kieu-Hanh, I think this works well. I like the leading lines formed by the triangular pattern of the stars and falloff in the background. I'm not where the spoon comes in. Did you have a vision in mind? |

Ruth, I love the contrast and mystery in this image.I know White Sands is a very hot place and you've communicated this by enhacing the tone in the sand. I also like the way you've layered the photo with different tonal values. I agree with Michael: I can't think of any way to improve on this. |

Michael, bird photography is easiest the most popular subject in my camera club and this would stand up very well with the best. You really captured the decisive moment, including a catchlight in the eye. I'm surprised that youre SS was on 1/200 - I would have thought faster than that, maybe 1/500, to capture this so sharply. You have given another vote for Topaz, so I must look into that. |

LuAnn, a wonderful low-key image.I love the way the flower melts into the background.Wow, if your Lensbaby lens is f/1, no wonder you achieved such shallow DOF and lovely bokeh. Out of curiosity, could you have made something similar with the legendary Fuji 56 f/1.2? |

John, I did blur the tree a little with the brush tool in Lightroom's masking module, but I like the way you've gone further. A fellow club member raves about Topaz DiNoise. I might look into that. Yes, lots of characters out here, especially in Santa Cruz where I shot this. |

Ruth, I'm glad you like it. I was worried about the tree, but had to grab the shot while I could. I didn't apply any sharpening or denoising, so I'll try that. Thanks for the suggestion. |

Alas, this seems to be the case. I'll try toning iot down but I think this one may be a lost cause. |

I like this version too. this would do well in the Creative category. Might I suggest a title: "Prisoner in Time". |

Mike, you should chnage your name to Monet - a true impressionist. If you hand't old us, I wouldn't have known this was a spray. Good job! |

Very mirage-like image. Wonderful colors. I might suggest cropping out the driveway, as this grabs the ye a little away from the main subject. |

This is an almost 3D effect - nice job! With you're processing, you've reflected some floral-like colors in the curtains, which make the image more punchy. |

I was going for an abtract moe than a singular focal point, but I see hwat you mean, Mike.Perhaps by toning doen the bright spot it could be more effective. Thanks. |
