It is a great capture of the monkey in his environs. The out of focus background is very effective to keep the focus on the subject (what exactly is in the background).
My only suggestion would be perhaps to bring out a little more of its eyes, but otherwise, a great nature photo. |

Hi Jeff - this photo works really well and I love how you got from the original witb the people to the final version. I think the crop is perfect. I don't have any suggestions for improvement - I think it's a very strong image as is. |

That's quite a creative talent - I've had many multiple photos that I would like to take parts of one and transpose to the other but am not very good at it.
This is a wonderful photo. There's a lot going on. I like the intensity of the smitty as he focuses on his craft. I would believe he was full time at it. I like the detail in the muscles of his back, shoulder and arms. The busyness of his tattoo compliments the busyness of his hair. And I love the invisible zig zag line running from his forearm, through his arm and hand, then the hammer, finishing up with the small tool and then the anvil. You really worked hard at getting this wonderful photo! |

Thank you so much for your kind words and feedback-very much appreciated! I'm glad you had such a positive reaction to the photo - that's what every amateur photographer strives for. I do think also this is one of my better "story telling" photos.
Thanks, Kirsti! |
