Thanks, Al. I was not so confidant about this photo going in so I appreciate your and the other's feedback.

This photo brings back memories of my trip to Morocco and Fes last year. You've captured the mood of the culture for sure.
I would increase the contrast but it works as is also.
It looks hot and the woman looks tired. Nice composition. |

Hi Kirsti - this image evokes similar feelings to your photo from last month. The partly opened doorway gives the feeling of foreboding, and the lighting on the floor works perfectly to lead the viewer's eye to the subject (door). You used the technique very effectively!
The original photo makes me think more about what the open space was once used for. More nostalgic than foreboding. |

Hi Jeff - this is a fabulous composition!
Very smooth surfaces for the sand and water; even the mountains have a smoothness to them. The eye moves around from the main areas of the foreground dune, water, main dunes, sky, and trees. You did an amazing job of brightening the finished product from the original. I don't have any suggestions for improvement. |

Thanks,Kirsti. I had high expectations for this photo but the ghosting in the image is mess. I thought I had corrected it all - all of the pillars had ghosting - but I see as you pointed out that I missed the main pillar and also the hills to the left.
Thanks for your feedback on the general composition. |
