It's amazing that this was shot outdoors - I would have guessed in a studio. I like the graceful pose and the contemplative expression. My first reaction was that her skin is too dark, and I like Ed's adjustment, but I think your original has more of the "relaxed" feel you were looking for. My only suggestion would be to remove the white dot from the subjects nose.
Very nice photograph. |

My initial reaction to this photo was that I liked the full, uncropped image. The tighter crop doesn't seem to let the viewer into the surroundings of this little village. However, there is not enough point of interest on the left side to keep the viewer's attention. I tried to split the difference with my crop to try to balance it out. I think all versions have some merit.
It's a really beautiful setting and you captured the feel of a small, chilly village. |

This image has a very unique effect - I also thought I was looking at a painting at first glance. I think you captured the movement very well and also the spontaneity of the moment. Also, the light coming in from the window creates a nice effect, and I love how it seems to envelop the subject's motion.
How nice to have such a lovely granddaughter for a subject! |

I like the abstract nature of the photo as well as a documentation of the natural world. I'm wondering if the bright curve in the foreground might be less bright so as not to compete with the droplets? Other than that, I think you captured nature at it's best. |
