This is a great action shot - where exactly was it taken?
I agree with Ed's comments about the texture of the horses, and it Jeff's comment about perhaps cropping out the road in the back.
Otherwise, it's a terrific shot of these wonderful animals.

The 500mm lens certainly helped keep you safe! and at the same time create that great depth of field. It's a wonderul shot - you're fortunate to have been able to see these magnificent creatures in the wild. |

Kirsti - I like this cropped version the best simply because I think it is the most balanced of the images.
It's a great shot and conjurs up mystery. Your husband is in a non-threatening pose, but the backdrop makes it just slightly unsettling. A great instinctive photo. |

I can't add much more to what has already been said. I was really impressed when I saw the image, but then more impressed when I saw the original color version. Your imagination to come up with the finished version results in the viewer getting to use their imagination. I originally thought sci-fi as someone else mentions. The simplicity of the photo is terrific. |

I too like the sepia tone. Although I like the back story, the photo stands alone as a relationship between presumably father and son. I like the framing of the photo also.
I think this is an example where it might be better viewing the photo in its original size. In the small version here the adult looks skeletal to me, but when I enlarge it he looks fine. A real nice combination of presentation and content. |

Thanks for your comments, Albert. I'll work on those trees - I see what everyone is talking about.

Thank you Kirsti - that keystone feature is another one I have to learn since I take a lot of architectural abstracts.
I fool around with those tones.
Glad you enjoyed being whisked back to Barcelona - what a wonderful city! |

Thanks Ed, I see what you mean. I'm learning PS on the fly so will give the cloning a go. Thanks for the feedback. |

Thanks Jeff. I was intrigued by that reflection and couldn't decide whether or not to keep it in. I'll revisit it. |
