Ed - I like what you did - you created the idyllic alternate to my dystopian future! I like the suggestion to flip the photo - I will keep that in mind for future projects. Thanks for working on the photo. |

Thanks Jeff - I like the suggestion of darkening the sky, I'll give that a go. |

At first I thought it was one of the actors you have worked with so you did an amazing job capturing the visiting woman in her moment of curiosity. I think highlighting the light on the chalice is a good touch but agree it could be toned down a bit - but I wouldn't want the mystery of the light to be too dim to appreciate. I think the window in the upper left balances the photo nicely.
And, to keep in the Alfred Hitchcock mode, the chalice has the same effect as the poison milk from Notorious that was lit from within! |

My first reaction is that I'm looking at a scene from a 40's film noir - The Big Sleep comes to mind. I think it conveys that feeling really well and the broken glass can only conjur. up bad news for someone. The out of focus overcast sky really brings the picture to a nice finish. |

I too like the symmetry and I think the choice of the sepiatone works perfectly for this photo. What also works is that the colonist is not dead center in the photo - I think that one foot or so off center works better than if he was dead center in the doorway. What focal length lens did you use? |

I like this photo a lot - I like the way the horns of the sheep mimic the mountain peaks. At first I thought there were two photos being submitted. Each half top/bottom is almost a stand alone photo. |
