49 Jul 23 Comment Hi Alan

You got that right, definitely a head-turner. As you've indicated that's what you like about it, I'd say you've hit the mark. The detail's great too!

I like how you've processed it (seeing the raw comparison helped). It's got a subtle… sepia tone to it? It reminds me of the videos and images from a nature show we used to watch as kids on channel 4 PBS.

I like the natural framing you've presented in this final crop too - it works well!

49 Jul 23 Comment Hi David - you couldn't have planned better colors!

I tried cropping the sky down, as well as the foreground up (just to see), and I like how you've got it. The sky isn't dramatic, but it's also not just a flat blue expanse either, I think it's got enough going on to leave it in place as supporting cast for your wind surfer. My response of course assumes he/she's the star of the show. Cool image, thanks for sharing.

49 Jul 23 Comment Hi Jo-Ann

Excellent expression you've captured there (it immediately caught my attention as a thumbnail too), and Craig and David have already touched on the focus topic.

49 Jul 23 Comment Good Morning Craig

Nice work handling all the red in this image. That's a really easy color to overdue and have it appear blown-out but that's not the case at all with this image.

David's right about a few artifacts on the right, but if I'm honest - I didn't notice them until he mentioned something, so it may pass muster of the less critical eye.

Overall, it's a well-framed image of an attractive gal - thanks for sharing.

49 Jul 23 Reply Good morning David! I think you got the focus point right - that looks like the sharpest bit to me too.

I think the explanation for the shallow depth of field is due to the macro lens and how close I was to the subject. This one probably warranted a focus stacking session.

Thanks for taking a look (and you too Craig!)

49 Jul 23 Reply *chuckle* thanks Craig! It was crazy vibrant too, this is one of those images that I actually dropped the vibrance and saturation on, and still looks crazy. Jul 9th
