Ed this is amazing. The colors, their shades and differences in brightness make for a dramatic picture. The sun appears to be struggling to rise above the trees as it is being held back. The river's muted reflection of the drama above is like a silent witness.
Thank you for getting up so early!

Another great picture of an abandoned building. You are for sure the master of this genre! Interestingly the B&W treatment gives a timelessness which contrasts with the graffiti which is here and now. I wonder why they built this with the iron fence and gates? |

Good composition with the very local river pointing to the unimaginably distant Milky Way. It was good of the heavens to reveal themselves to your camera in this way. |

Darcy you have a talent in bringing attention to the small details in life. This plant is showing a degree of defiance in the face of what is probably a challenging environment which is inspiring. The close crop gives an importance to the plant and works well.

Dawn, the B&W treatment adds a timelessness to the picture and the color version has wonderful subtle colors - both are good to look at. I agree with Ed about the crisp detail of the rock in the foreground giving way to the muted focus of the further rock formations works well. |

George this is an astonishing picture. The colors are so complex and the clarity of the Milky Way is so good for a non specialized set up.
Congratulations.
Was there any post processing apart from the merging of the exposures? |
