I find this a very clever composition and capture. It looks like everything in the picture is very similar in color yet there is lots of detail (especially the large driftwood). It's hard to make a composition with such a limited palette and I think this is an excellent job. It has an element of realism that can put you there viewing the scene directly. |

This is a clever composition that immediately conveys its message and makes you want to go back to Europe! The wood grain in the lower left corner ties the map and the coliseum together nicely.
I have no idea how to blend and craft multiple images into one like this - I have so much to learn. |

I agree that the most interesting part of any photograph is the reaction it invokes in the viewer. For me this picture reminds of the Greek legend of the crashing rocks and the desperation of those caught amongst them. Me being claustrophobic exacerbates this feeling. The dark colors of the rocks (delivered by Marks excellent post processing) makes them appear malevolent adding to the impact. As you say, the stream points the way to liberty.
This is an excellent photograph. |

What a great capture as the flock of birds lined up so perfectly with the fish. It's as if they were posing for you.
Interesting colors with the blue grey of the clouds and the bright patch of sky with the sunset and the silhouette hills across the sea. An evocative scape. |

Great shot with wonderful color and composition. I like the way the trees on the left and right frame the picture. The fern in the middle makes an interesting center piece.
The original shot looks great, too.
There are similar scenes in the Olympic National Park in Washington State however I don't think they can compete with this green! NZ is now definately on my bucket list. |
