This looks like it took a lot of courage to take. Especially considering it was taken with a 500mm lens - you were a long way up! Although to your point about the ambiguity of perspective, it maybe that you were looking 'over across at'.
I looked at the picture for a long time trying to understand what is being represented. It is very dramatic although i have to confess I can find neither the heart nor the monsters. Regardless it is a compelling picture. |

Good job working the original into this great picture. It looks very natural and you have retained the texture of the rocks and even the gravel on the ground. I had no idea there was a replica of Stonehenge in the world. It looks like a rich mans folly! |

The colors in these leaves are amazing. Excellent job pulling them out and keeping them balanced and natural looking. The depth of focus looks excellent. What was the aperture setting? |

I love the way you have taken a micro scale subject and made it macro scale. The world is full of bridges and waterfalls at this scale. The grass jungle goes all the way to the rivers edge.

This is great picture of the dunes. It is very hard to find part of these dunes without footprints. This is an interesting view of the dunes - they are looking very majestic and are lit perfectly with the light and shade. I am not sure what the scale of this picture is - it looks like they are huge. The actor (for me) is the assembly of shapes and shades, it is quite sensual. The picture works at an abstract level and as a landscape. |

This is a very moving picture. The lighting is really good and the emotion conveyed by the subject is tangible. I struggle with the thought that she did not want the picture taken yet I find it a compelling picture. This is one of the reasons I rarely take pictures/portraits of people.
The exposure and focus look perfect. |
