I really like this image. The view of the town with its surrounding features looks like an opening scene to a TV series about the inhabitants.
You have done a great job bringing the original to life. It may be slightly over saturated as Jeffrey notes however it has a timeless 'shot on film' feel to it. |

Paul, this picture is very appealing to look at. The contrast of the blue sky and the golden foreground hold your attention. The trees connect one to the other with their silver trunks. Looking at it makes you feel like you are there! |

This is a great shot. To me the subject of the picture is the contrast of the flat valley floor and the (what look to be) volcanic mountains. It makes me wonder what kind of geological forces have been at work to make this feature. And the mountains appear to be returning back to the valley floor, as if to complete some inevitable cycle.
This picture adds to the allure of a visit to Iceland. |

Dawn I agree with you there is a simple charm about leaves floating on water like this. The colors of the leaves are excellent. Very powerful yet totally natural looking. I agree with the other comments that you have a remarkable job rescuing the over exposed original. |

Hi Dawn, this is a very interesting picture. The exposure of the Milky Way and the broader night sky is fascinating. Light painting the rocks in the foreground adds a lot to the picture and must have been a challenge to balance against the (presumably delicate) exposure of the sky.
The green hue in the original is interesting. Is that how it appeared at the moment of capture or is it an artifact?

Great shot, Jeffrey. I like the many subtle shades in the sea and sky. The composition is very nice too with the symmetry of the walk way in the picture. The blurry seagull gives an ephemeral feel to the presence of the bird which contrasts with the stability of the rest of the picture. I think it adds something interesting. |
