Hi Mark,
I do not know about the LAB color model. I will research it.
Thanks

Thanks, Ed. Interesting point about the haze in the distance adding a sense of six. I had not thought of that before. |

Hi Jeffery,
This is a picture with potential that is not realized in your initial submission. Your re-cropping and Marks adjustments have both created compelling pictures. |

Stunning picture that belongs along side the highest standards of landscape photography. The composition, the lighting on the mountain, the foreground interest and the beautiful color of the water are all amazing to me.
To my eye the shoreline looks good. It simply looks as if the shoreline is receding slightly toward the left hand side of the picture. Which is consistent with the larger hill on the right hand side.

I like the reflection and the calm water. Very soothing. The curving bank draws you along but doesn't let you leave the image.
It would be interesting to see the the actual trees included in the picture also.
Inverting the picture makes an engaging picture. I cropped most of the non reflected content. |

A very dramatic picture. Amazing to think it was taken from a helicopter. And that the helicopter was much lower than the peaks. While this made for a great vantage point, it was most likely very scary.
Interesting to read that you shot wide and cropped hard. This definitely justifies the high pixel count of modern cameras. Also I had no idea that window reflections could be removed. Good to know it is possible.

Great shot Paul. The foal is definitely checking you out. I wonder what it is thinking!
The rest of the picture is a great shot on its own, too. The foreground is complimentary to the horses and the wonderful muted green hills in the background add interest without competing with the main subject(s).

Ed this is a great picture. I like the idea of a bridge that connects an unknown place to an unknown place. The bridge from/to nowhere.
The symmetry of the picture draws me in and the red keeps the interest.
The picture looks sharp and well exposed.
I agree with Paul, this is a winning image. |
