I like the texture of this picture. It creates a calming array of colors and shapes, simultaneously being a river bed and an amorphous pattern. The gradual moving out of focus (vertically) adds to the surreal nature. |

This is like the best of street photography on the beach. Excellent candid shot of the seals. It is impossible not to anthropomorphize by wondering what they are all thinking. Or what were they talking about before they realized Ed was there to take a picture?!
Excellent shot technically, compositionally and 'human' interest. |

I like the intimacy of this picture. The composition is just right to show the affection between the horses. The level of fine detail of the individual hairs etc adds to the interest. Great picture! |

This is a spectacular view of a glacier. Amazing that it was captured from a helicopter as it appears blur free. Dealing with the brightness and multiple shades of white must have been a major technical challenge. The only enhancement I can think of would be something to establish the scale of the view but that is not always possible. |

What a great picture. The clouds are the star of the picture with the mountains pointing at them to underscore this. Wonderful color and light in the clouds, too.
I think this is the right crop for this scene. Cropping the clouds out would be a different picture (still great, but with a different emphasis).

Amazing picture. I really like the horizontal symmetry. It must be a good spot to sit and think while taking in this view. |
