I like the idea of choosing a color from the tulip to adjust the background color. The green background works well to contrast the tulip color, but the redish color is unexpected and interesting. I can see the redish background one as a print because it's a little more artistic by way of the coloring. |

Thanks for the feedback. The green leaves were bland and didn't provide contrast against the black iron, but I found that gold complemented the black better than adjusting the shade of green. |

I love the Chicago Botanical Garden, though I get overwhelmed easily (and spend an hour in the rose garden...forgetting I have so much more to see). The middle of the flower has the shapes of flames, which really caught my eye. It works well to have the neutral green background to complement both the white petals and yellow focal-point. --Carrie |

I love this shot! It's abstract until you look closer and realize the extreme detail (and amazing scene). For me, it works as is without more background/landscape, but I'm always a fan of abstract photography that makes you take a second look. --Carrie |

Nice shot! I think this would be great printed image, though you may want to clone out the yellow sign and dim or remove the oncoming lights so the focus is all the road and rainbow. (I'd probably leave the bird in the road...a symbol of bravery. I'm assuming it's a bird and not roadkill.) --Carrie |

I'm a big fan of playing around with sliders just to see what happens. I use Photoshop so I can turn layers on and off or blend them together. One of the photographers I follow on YouTube suggests dedicating specific time weekly to just playing around in Lightroom/Photoshop to see what you can get. It makes me feel like a kid in a craft/art room where I can combine things without rules. |

Thanks for the feedback. Do you mean straighten as in the horizon line is off? Or tilted, as in straight on shot versus looking up? |
