I like this cropped version, where the fishing traps actively work to drawn the viewer in from one corner and up to the ship in the other corner. |

I've tried Lensbaby lenses in a few workshops, but haven't bought one of my own. I suspect my hesitance is because it takes some practice to get the settings and focus just right, which I think you did well with the green leaves of the flower. They are inviting to look at and then seen the little details on the leaves. |

The architecture is certainly eye-catching. This might work well as a "macro" shot that just focuses on the decorative iron on one of the windows, though cropping may be tricky with the angle of the window. Flipped to black and white with adjustments to the shadows and highlights might increase the depth overall and address the issue with being "flat." |

Love this tulip! I always cringe when photographing pristine tulips because they look like every other tulip photo, whether it's mine or someone else's photo. (I often prefer photographing the dying tulips because their petals all differently.) I can see all the work you put into taking the photo, and it pays off. It's very interesting to look at and follow all the petal curves. |

I love this photo. I think it'd be great as a print for a living room or den. You can't help but be drawn in to look at all the bubbles (kind of like when you're a kid and fascinated with blowing bubbles)....they're magical looking. |

I agree with the focus, especially since the water drop right in front is not in focus. That said, I realize the challenge of short depth of field and getting all the important things in focus. I haven't yet been patient enough to try focus stacking in camera. |

I took a class of Kathleen's at CreativeLive.com, which I enjoyed (...I watched it when it was free, and then bought it when it was cheap). I like her artistic eye, which is something that I struggle with myself. |

I didn't notice the leaning of the building until it was pointed out here. I suspect it was my wide-angle lens and my position (which was the only place I could stand). It's certainly something to look for in the future and make sure it's more intentional than accidental. |

Thanks for the feedback! The church is in Austria, and I live in Chicago. It was a one-time situation. Where I stood to take the photo was also the only place to stand and get the whole church, without all the stuff on the sides of it or standing in the grass (which wasn't clear whether they'd be okay with that). |
