51 Dec 18 Comment Welcome to the group Richard. Post processing really made Thistle photo snap. What a great idea to track growth of flowers in your garden. Snapseed has so many options. After using HDR I would also go to curves tool and tweak a little. Then go to Tune Image and maybe saturate a mite to bring out a little more of the red in thistle and flowers in background. Sometimes also use ambiance. Then go to Details and only use structure to add slightly more texture as got some already from HDR. Then sharpen a little bit. Snapseed is the most amazing photography editing tool. Dec 7th

51 Dec 18 Comment This is exactly how I envision what Mars looks like. The tree dotted green mountains in the background are reassuring that water exists somewhere. Photo does excellent job of portraying bleakness of Death Valley. Did good job of capturing the texture and bleakness of dried up, scorched earth. Dec 7th
