I was undecided about those 2 areas, Yes I should have remove them.
Also was noted before the coin in the fountain should have been smaller. Also the second coin in the middle smaller too.
The second being closer to fountain? I was trying to promote motion, but is good point. |

Beauty and creative, that is a 'MEAW'. Nice blending.
Just one minor detail is that I would have reduced the catch lights in the eyes to only one. |

It is creative for sure.... The colors seem to work.
In my taste the clear view of the mushrooms is missing. As I would have kept them without the double or triple imaging.
Looks like a great deal of work went here.

Interesting concept. The elements are there; a suggestion will be to make the spheres slightly bluish and if you use photoshop the fluid command and make the sphere like a drop.
Yes adding a cat would help and really fit 'Its raining cats and dogs' |

The white surrounding may be a bit stronger. Correct. Good point.
"a vignette accomplished using a circular gradient centered on Larry's eye?" That is intriguing?
What would be the intent?
Kind of 'give' the eye a border of lighter shade? |

No, actually was kind of upset that I was to close to him.
As Avant-garde, is worth mentioning Alice Austen.
A lady that started photography at an early age.
A few things to note, for a lady, she did carry a big camera(see picture). She would have love my heavy weight Canon R.
Also did most of her own developing.
The reason I mentioned it, is that I did visited her museum in Staten Island, NY. Worth visiting if you visit SI.

Ah Bodi CA... You need a few sd card when you go there.
That image is very good. The sepia tone gives a further old aspect.
I love the framing. I wish judges out there will agree with me.
In a place like that is very easy to be distracted and not see all possible angles. In my opinion moving a bit more to the right you would have place the wheel barrel more into the picture and not show that building toward the top right.
Of course assume there was not bar wire to the right.
Oh well, minor details.

HI Lance, glad you are there. Correct, the intent was an abstract. That is where as I see an image many times I fail to recognize the intent. a few times I have created such image and I did wonder, why people did not see it as I did.
This media/groups have such diversity and objectives, so is hard to be objective as we see the images.
At the present time I am looking at images as either "creative and beauty" or "story telling". Recall my interest is to improve my photography.
True, is impossible to impact every one the same way.
When I show an image, my hope is that must people will like it and be impressed. (a work in progress, as you seen my work)

The cyanotype developing as I recall, not to sure, but it was at one time created using an albumin process.
The image of nature is there. Wood, brush and water.
I am not sure if the old trunks were tilted naturally, but I would have like them to be more straight.
A bit more of the surroundings, would have given the viewer a more perspective. Very interesting. |

OH yes, you capture the sense of 'abandoned' well.
This is the kind of image that put your mind into wondering, why or what did happen. Technically the details are good.
You are right, the woods behind is a challenge as if you darken them too much, will take the subject away.
