Honestly I am short of words for this image.
As I am trying to put together the "honor to", the flower and the message. Technically the image is correct and is nice creation from the original. |

I am not sure is this will be a comment to consider, but presenting faces, for most part I like them to face each other.
Of course unless is meant for a discrepancy or rejection.
Colors and objects are great and very interesting.

So for creative photograph, not so good as it is almost natural.
As a creation of a photograph, excellent. Very good work. |

When adding clouds, for most of the times, is easy. Yet to realize a realistic effect, takes work And many tries.
I try resizing the clouds, either enlarging or reducing size.
Also the light sources has to be matched.
In this image it is hard to see the addition, but close look you can question it.

Coney Island.... I spend 10 years 63-73 in Brooklyn.
Oh yes, franks, clams and beer Saturday nights.
The image is very nice concept. Good colors and lots of memories. |

Correct. After I submitted, I had a change of heart.
The clouds were too strong.
The lamp was taking to much of the image and the light was too dim.
The apple was smaller and base was not to me properly.
So here is new version, hope this one is more likeable.

I am impressed by the balance of BNW.
Nice exposure as to shoe both side of the face with such quality.

Both versions looks good.
I still prefer the original as It feel to me that the balance of a BNW photograph is accomplished in the original.
To maintain the original as it is, it is great.
If I were to hang this image in my living room or enter it in a competition, the addition of clouds would elevate this image to a much greater appreciation; at least in my opinion.
Or addition of fog as this seems to be in one of the marinas in San Francisco.
Anyway watching this image bring times of waking in a marina and hearing all the clinking of those masts. UHMMMM.
