Tom flipped the image as an experiment. It is right side up in my photo. |

I'm guessing the one with the green is the Male? what great pink legs. These are truly magnificent birds. Plus I never heard of geese nesting in trees. Learn something every day (hopefully). |

definitely more in front is needed, and I like more on top also. |

What goofy birds are ibises. You did a great job of capturing this youngster. The colorful face stands out and catches the first look at the photo. Lucky it was tack sharp. I rather like the green background as that is what it really looks like. |

I love gannets and you did a great job capturing one in flight. I have to agree with Michael about the cropping. More sky on right, and perhaps less on left. Play with it and see what you think. |

Good action shot. Ta-ta froggy! Colors and focus perfect. Lovely, clear water. Michael's comment about the whites is a good one. |

Okay, I'll be the downer here. It is always fun to find a new bird. But, your mergansers are not as colorful as in real life, perhaps you could enhance those? You need to give more room on the right side for the ducks to swim into. You might crop off some of the foreground water as it's out of focus. Good capture of the female with the fish showing they are fishing ducks. |

What a fantastic goose. Is that the female with the gosling? If so, what must the male look like? It seems they nest like wood ducks and mergansers here. There are videos of the little ducklings jumping and bouncing on the ground, hopping up and walking to the water.
It is interesting how wildlife is adapting to climate change. I assume that is why they are now common in the UK? |

how lucky for you to see one of these spectacular hummers, much less get a photo of it.
I rarely have any complaints about your birds or processing, but this one is overworked. You selected it and tried to minimize the background in PS with mixed results. It's tricky.
However, the good news is you seem to be recovering and getting out to shoot more often. Always look forward to seeing what you post. |

But at least you have had some rain this year. I am surprised it is getting dry there too. I always think of the eastern part of the country as perpetually green. |

no rain here yet...waiting impatiently for April showers. I notice the photo looks overworked. Should have looked at it better before submitting. |

You found a great spot to go leaf-peeping. I always like to go out in late Sept. or early Oct. to see our western version of of the autumn colors. We don't get the range of hues that they get on the east coast, but we make up for it by having mountain backdrops.
There is a train that follows that pass...many folks like to see the colors from that narrow-gauge train. |

This one is obviously still emerging from the cocoon with the wings still furled. Gorgeous colors. Haven't seen one of these since my Midwest childhood. They are probably getting rarer. Interesting to me that they have the same life span and lack of mouth parts as our silk moths and are in fact, silk moths. Thanks for finding one of these beauties. The adults aren't nearly so bright...did you perhaps over-enhance? |

Everyone has such great action shots this month. This is a wonderful, focused, well-cropped view of the heron and its prickly prey. Decreasing the vibrance was a good choice. It's perfect the way it is now. Love the dangling feathers. |

Great shot. Wonderful focus. Sea eagles have to eat even on snowy days. Expect above the arctic circle this is normal weather. Not normal for humans however, you must have been freezing. |

Oh Sherry, you just keep them coming. Gorgeous. Ethereal is the perfect adjective. Colors, action, definition...all perfect. I can even see his green facial marking. |
