Lovely loon shot and great that you caught the little guy riding on its back. My only critique would be to give it a looser crop. Leave it a bit more room to swim in as the water is so inviting. |

Rainbow lorikeets are one of my favorite Aussie birds. Can't get any more colorful than these guys. Your selection tool is tricky with feathers. In order to tone down and blur the background, you muddied up the edges a bit. Very difficult to do perfectly. Perhaps a less tight crop would have been better? It seems to be straining the edges. In my opinion of course, it's your photo. |

You nor anyone else will see the beak. I've seen a lot of photos of these guys, and it's always hidden in the feathers when the crest is up. |

I like the migratory entry. They are lovely geese and you caught the action well. Separation of the birds, colors and focus good. So glad you didn't have to cut any in half to fit the frame. |

Oh dear. The idea was great, the result didn't quite succeed. They are devilishly hard to catch in the act. You made a valiant attempt. |

Your new camera would have made a sharper photo, altho it's not bad as it is. I'm not sure how I feel about all the sticks. If the bird were tack sharp I would eliminate some of the right side branches and get it larger in the frame... Highlight that turquoise eye! |

Perhaps this is a juvenile? Our cormorants are also black. FYI: I do pick from years of bird photography, selecting the ones I like. I especially like large colorful birds and we don't have a lot of those in Colorado. I vote you put in whatever you like, whenever you took the photo. |

Fantastic shot of the kingbird. My only complaint is that these birds are generally dark grey, almost black, and this one appears blue. Otherwise, the position, background etc. are perfect. Love that you can even see the bee. |

The warbler is a good find and beautifully captured. The other bird looked very odd before I realized it is a fountain of sorts. Perhaps a closer look at the warbler? |

personally I find the aspens without the longhorn rather boring. I liked the cow just because it was so unexpected there. |

To me the whole bird looks very sharp...fluff? what fluff. I even like the darker background. It's a great shot.

Great water for sure. Too bad the sky is so washed out, but there really isn't any cure for that unless you use sky replacement. Perhaps try dehazing it and see if that helps. |

Wonderful capture. All 3 lions are in perfect focus and seem to be interacting with one another. The colors are perfect and of course, the reflections really make the shot. You couldn't have directed them better if that were an option. |

The incredible color of the glacial water in Canada never fails to amaze. You've caught a lovely landscape with water, mountains, rocks and trees. I like the way the river comes right at us. The texture in the rocks is terrific.
Good job! |

Nice capture of a bird in flight. The background, altho lovely, is a little overwhelming. The heron gets overlooked in the bright colors. Yes, I agree with Gwen, the eye is wonderful. |

Lovely shot of the monarch. I see fewer and fewer of these every year it seems. The eastern ones seem to be doing better. It amazes me they think there is any nectar in a sunflower, but they do go to them. I wrote a blog post about these lovely butterflies if anyone is interested in knowing more about them.

Wow, another winner. I love bee eaters. They are all so colorful. The fact that we can even see the bee shows how focused it is. I agree with toning down the dark spot. Leading line branch is good too. |
