Very nice shot, Sarita. Personally I would tone down the yellow in the foliage. Too often the greens take on a yellow tinge. Also you might get rid of that stick in the lower right. The warbler is perfect. |

Good capture. I like Isaac's suggestions. Getting rid of the white stick behind the head was needed. Lovely bird and what odd balls they are with their acorn stashing habit. |

Maybe the largest kingfisher, but it still has a mouthful. Wonderful capture. Contrast with the blurred background is perfect. Colors very nice. I'm surprised at ISO1800 there isn't more noise. |

I suspect the halo you are seeing comes from the extensive denoising for the shot. That's my guess anyway. |

It's not your eyes. It is a little fuzzy, esp, the fish. |

So sorry to hear of your accident. We recently (March) took a trip through the SW and were devastated to see the effects of the drought. Not a flower in sight...even the cactus were suffering. It was a dystopian view of the future if the world doesn't act on climate change. |

The poor anhinga apparently speared the fish so successfully it couldn't get it off its bill in order to swallow it. Bad for it, but good for you. Agree about the cropping to focus more on the water pattern and the action. Nice catch. |

Welcome Marilyn. That is a great portrait of a Red-shouldered hawk. Even captured the shoulder! Every feather in place, nice job. I wish it had turned its head a bit toward you, but they don't respond to prompts. Alas. |

You were very fortunate. Unfortunately, with the very high ISO and overly fast shutter speed, the heron is over pixelated. The water looks good.
Read your bio. Hand-held and RAW are good choices for birding, but I would use spot auto-focus for better results.
You certainly have the camera and lens for it. Joining a camera club really helped me, and probably is great for you too. |

Didn't see this one the first time I logged in. Have to agree with all that has been said already. Love big, colorful birds and they don't get much bigger or more colorful than those spoonbills. Wish we had them in the west. |

AND for another great mallard shot. The ducklings are just too cute, and you managed to get all nine in focus. Reflections an added bonus. Smooth and ripples on the water really lovely contrast. I do like the water extension Tom put on. |

It's amazing to me how many different colors a male mallard's head can reflect. From your blue to sometimes emerald green or even black. Nice flight capture...good feather definition, focus throughout, and even got the orange feet. Good work. |

It is a spectacular country. You'll have a great time. If you are interested I've written a travel blog about Botswana. There are 9 chapters. Mostly photos, but some other info as well. To advance click arrow on right side of page.

Every feather is perfect. Even has a catch light in the eye. Nice catch. Looks like a prickly landing. |

Nice catch. You could select the birds and lighten them a bit to differentiate from dark background. I would also crop a little tighter to see the storks better. |

Terrific shot of gorgeous grebes. The babies on the back and the fish offering make the shot. Colors lovely, focus good, nice reflections. |

Very nice capture. Perfect background. For all those wishing for one in their backyards, remember Cooper's and Sharpies treat bird feeders as their personal feeders. When I see piles of feathers underneath I know I have one around even if I don't see it. However, I do like it when I see them. All raptors are wonderful to see. |

Apparently the back of the legs look yellow on the juveniles. Adult Snowies have black legs with yellow feet. Very nice capture of the taking-off egret. Nice water background. |

Lovely limpkin. Colors and focus perfect. Marsh plants not overwhelming as they can be for these birds. Nice shot...(as usual) |

Hi Gwen. If you aren't already familiar with Generative AI it is included in Photoshop and easy to extend an unfortunate edge cut-off. Try it out to extend the right side just a little so you can crop more off the left side. With 30K photos to sort through you may not have time, but it's worth learning about eventually. |

Yosemite is an amazing valley. Impossible to take a bad photo. I like your smooth water from the long exposure. You could have moved your focus slightly to the left to include more water in the river bend, more valley-side rocks, and less campground. If there are people in the photo, I don't see them. They don't detract.
Blues are a little overwhelming. Perhaps warm up Half Dome?
Clone out the bit of tree in the upper left corner. |

What a lovely motmot...what species is it and where did you find it? Nice sharp shot of it. Since they live in forested areas it's hard to get all the sticks out. you might crop in a little from the right, and burn those lighter twigs. Don't know if it's possible to lighten up under side of wings and tail to make them pop out of the background, but worth a try?
The tails are the unique thing about motmots. |

Another gorgeous hummingbird! The clarity of the feathers is lovely. And thanks for the naming info. (I wish they would stop doing that after I manage to learn the first name, and then it changes.) So I guess it's now Rivoli's we have in Arizona? or is it Talamanca? Or can we still call it a Magnificent? |

Wow, action shot of an endangered beauty. Eyes and matching cere are especially nice. Good focus on face and feet. I like the mossy branch. One small nitpik...you might want to tone down the overly bright background. The white splotches detract from your great bird. |
