Somehow I suspect your original photo got switched with another. You say it's a mother with cygnet, but it's not. It's a juvenile, probably another member of the group. Still a nice swan shot, esp. after your improvements. |

I hope it wasn't the gentleman holding the bird who told you it was a hooded warbler. It's a common yellowthroat. That out of the way, I love the shot, esp. with Tom's crop. The man's expression is priceless, and the little warbler sitting so patiently is darling. |

What a silly goose! We have them here by the hundreds. They can be real pests. Aren't you in England? Are they there too?
They do that to warn away rivals and people. What a close-up! Didn't realize they had such long tongues.
Could be a tad sharper or not cropped quite so close? |

I thought the first year swans had the darker necks, but not too familiar with tundra swans. The haze makes the photo look a little washed out. Perhaps try running it through the dehazer tab in PS camera raw? Just a thought. The swan needs to stand out from the murky water. |

Perfect portrait and great back ground. I wish it had turned just slightly toward you so we could see the diagnostic chest spot, but then maybe we would lose the lovely eye color with catch light. |

What a great shot of the chicks feeding. It looks like a big fish for them to eat. I always thought they regurgitated partially digested food, but obviously not. An intimate nest view with good color, focus, etc. What goofy looking youngsters with their tousled hairdos. Love it that one chick has its pink mouth open and ready. |

Oh man, I can't believe your luck. I've been to that quetzal valley and never had such a clear view AND you got an action shot to boot. Wow!! You did a wonderful job of post processing. He's gorgeous. |

Nice, moody shot. Colors are lovely. Certainly wouldn't have been interesting without the dead trees. Love the crescent moon in the sky. Good for you to get up so early.
Agree with Judy that taking out the left-most snag wouldn't hurt, but it doesn't bother me either. |

On safaris the trucks are able to get right up to the wildlife. As long as one stays inside, the animals don't seem to have any fear. BUT, step outside and some, such as lions will see you as dinner.
This is a great catch with the reflection, etc. Colors good, focus great. One tiny nitpick...it is obvious for someone who has had the same issue, that you auto selected the lion and then changed the background somewhat because of the way the mane contacts the sky. Fur is difficult to get right. |

Balds are thieves for sure. That seems to be a very big draw on the east coast for eagle spotting. Tough shot to get and you managed it just fine. Don't know what your "current setup" is but it seems adequate. I'm always blown away by the lens sizes of wildlife photographers. Who wants to carry that much weight? |
