Very nice capture. Personally I would have left the vulture and the other people in that were behind the net, not cropped so tight on the right side, but cropped tighter on the left to get rid of that bright white wall. Also, burn the bright white shirt to make it less obvious. I really like your main subject. |

Holy cow! 20 for a focus stack on a relatively flat feather? It is a beautiful feather though. Nice diagonal placement, great colors. Rainbow Lorikeets are one of the most glorious birds on the planet (IMHO). |

Looks good to me. Can't go wrong with butterflies. That all is in focus is nice. Flowers add a nice splash of color. |

Humm. I would get rid of the out-of-focus back shroom and agree with Tom to clone out the green. Also, before submitting you might want to bring down the bright white of the stars of the photo. I love mushrooms and find them endlessly photographable (new word). |

Have to agree with Tom. Too many foreground willows. Composition good, but the blown out sky patches are a little distracting. |

The feathers and colors are lovely. The baby is darling but not as sharp as it could be. Wiggly nest line is good. Because of the exposure the left eye looks lost in the white patch. Think you can fix that in PS if you want to. |

Interesting, another junco (this one the slate variety). What an action shot! The wings are all over the place. I would clone out the seed bit by the right eye, it's distracting, and maybe dodge the eye a little on that side to bring it out a little more. Maybe burn the over exposed corn bits? I like the warm colors in background. |

Well, hmm. A little fuzzy and over-exposed, but it was a good catch with that big nesting stick and the colors are lovely. (Faster shutter speed on burst next time). |

From the original I think it's amazing you managed what you did. The grasses are slightly distracting but the tern is sharp and having the fish and catch light make the shot. Afraid I have no solution to the grasses problem having had it myself many times. |

I've seen these beauties on a few occasions, but never realized what colorful faces they can have at breeding time. Thanks for the nicely done close-up.
Assume the alligators aren't so helpful with the ones that fall out of the nests? |

Thanks Jim, I have only 2 lenses. My 70-300 L series is the one I used, no doubt, and probably at 300mm. I like that lens and have had it for nearly 13 years. It's been on many adventures. The other is a 24-105 L series zoom. |

I didn't change the angle, it just grew that way. I've seen many stinkhorns, but this was my first "veiled".
Look forward to your new nesting posts. |

Interesting that they don't intermix being so close to each other. They can fly after all. We have lots of the western scrub jays which look very similar, but they are definitely not endangered.
Thanks for the info. |

Great shot of the jay. Colors good, lighting good, focus good, position of the bird good. If it were mine I would clone out the messy snarl of plants at the bottom. Too bad it had bands on both legs. Sort of detracts from the wild aspect, but not much you can do about that. |

The colors and motion make this photo terrific. I've seen them dancing around stirring up edibles. Captivating for sure. I agree, the visible eyes aren't necessary for this gorgeous shot, and I like the endless blues with the reflection added. Very nice. |

Burrowing owls are some of my favorite birds on the planet. They are just so cute and sometimes do the funniest poses. They are very widespread. We have them here in CO and I've seen them as far south as Ecuador. You got a nice clean shot and their yellow eyes are captivating. |

I can't think of a thing to add to what's already been said.
Great catch. With 2000 I guess you had a lot to choose from. How patient of you to go through every one. |
