Absolutely amazing that many people can get on the boat without capsizing it. Colors pop. I wish I could see the individuals better, but with that many people it's impossible. |

Tom, nice capture of the old truck. I agree to clone out the right lower corner and I would give it just a tad more room on the bottom edge to give the bumper more breathing room. Maybe lighten up the hood to separate it from the background? just a thought |

Hi Darcy, you have some great shots in your group this time, including yours. One very small nitpick. The white hat is a distraction (as bright white spots always are). Maybe think about toning it down? |

Love the shot and the stick removal. Perhaps slightly darken the white poop and eliminate the rock in lower left corner?Who doesn't love a blue-footed booby?? |

Hi Don, thanks. It wouldn't be so difficult to get rid of the cattail shaft, but I left it in on purpose as a sign of the habitat they live in. They, like red-winged blackbirds live in cattail marshes. We have a lot of these guys in prairie potholes and pond edges. |

Yes, definitely an adult Black-crowned Night-Heron. Head on shots of birds are tricky. They look so goofy at that angle. That you managed to get all in focus is amazing. Good separation from the blurred background. |

Love the interaction between chick and parent. Baby birds do beg even when old enough to find their own food. Great catch...I like the angle of the heads with blue eyes visible. You could crop a bit off the bottom and tone the background down as mentioned before. |

Lovely warbler...could have been sharper at that close range. Perhaps a little more room on the bottom edge to get the tail and wing tip more visible? Would have liked to see the band to make it more obvious why it was hand held. |

Oh Don, you reminded me I really miss my woodies this year as we are in a drought and this spring they moved on. However, I have to correct you. What you have there are six juvenile males and maybe two females. The ones with the white lines on the face are males. It's possible the one not showing the head on the right is the mom. I like Tom's improved coloration. |

Afraid I agree with Michael about the need to tone down the background and sharpen the head. It's overexposed and detracts from your gorgeous bird. Also the tail is nicked off. You need to extend the bottom side just a tad. Maybe extend the bottom and crop some off the top?
Lucky you to see it, I was recently in Ecuador and missed this beauty. |

Ibis are such goofy looking birds. You caught one in flight with a background that could have undone your good focus. Well done. |

I agree with you. I left the sticks in on purpose. Gives a habitat vibe. |

What a great new bird. The funny little dangle from the bills is endearing. Still amazed at your accuracy in a rocking boat.
They do seem to blend into their cliff face. Not sure if there is any way or reason to try to get them to stand out more. Habitat realism is a good reason to leave them alone. |

Oh drat, I have to agree with Sherry on this one too. The fawn is certainly the main focus and cropping would bring it more to the viewer's attention. If it were my photo I would also darken it just a tad and make it a square image. The background seems a bit bright on my monitor. |

What a great catch, food in midair. However, in my opinion I have to agree with Sherry, the exposure is too bright. It looks like you had to dull out some overexposed white patches in the background. I think the colors would be even more pronounced if you could darken and saturate the whole image.
You were lucky to see this toucan. I was there years ago and didn't see it either. |

I agree with everything Sherry said. Skippers aren't the most colorful or showy butterflies, but are interesting nonetheless. The flower adds the color. Very sharp photo. |

Wood ducks are my favorite of all our ducks...so gorgeous. We are so dry out here this year we didn't have a single duck at our pond (well dry hole). Very sad, I miss them. The water in your photo and having both so sharply shown adds to their beauty. Thanks for this lovely photo. |
