21 Sep 23 Reply I may have to bite the bullet and buy Topaz. So many of my friends use it and swear by it. Sep 18th
21 Sep 23 Comment Wonderful you were able to get the entire bird in focus, they aren't small. Exquisite colors. I certainly wasn't lucky enough to see that one while we visited Colombia a few years ago.

You might enjoy reading and seeing the photos from our Colombia trip on my blog. I believe the travel blog is available from my bio if you are interested.

21 Sep 23 Comment Have to agree with Michael. Subject good, focus lacking. For a close-up like this focus is essential. Love the red eye. Coots are so common, but really quite photogenic. Sep 5th
21 Sep 23 Comment Definitely looks like a painting. The blue puts me off a bit. Probably because I'm very familiar with what these egrets look
like. Personally I would have liked to see more of the bird.

21 Sep 23 Comment Very precise portrait, colors good, focus incredible. I've never heard of this species of falcon. Where are they native? Sep 5th
21 Sep 23 Comment I like Tom's background improvement. Lovely shot of a flying heron especially considering you were hand holding in a boat! Sep 5th
21 Sep 23 Comment I hope the snake isn't a poisonous one or perhaps neither will win. Great catch. Sep 5th
21 Sep 23 Comment The hollyhock isn't as sharp as I'd like due to the aperture setting. I rather like the wings showing some motion, complete stop motion I don't think would have the same feel. But it was the composition that made this photo for me, plus the blank sky background. Sep 5th

94 Sep 23 Comment love the colors and sharpness throughout. good work! Sep 13th
94 Sep 23 Comment Funny, almost thought it was my photo of the same sphinx moth. However, the flower is different. Your colors are great. It's so amazing to see the length of the proboscis. We have had very few, almost none, of these for the last 2 seasons. I hope they are doing better where you found this one. Sep 7th
94 Sep 23 Comment You are definitely forgiven! What a lovely family of ducklings.
Colors and exposure very nice.
(The B&W shipwreck was nice too.)

94 Sep 23 Comment Nice slo-mo water action. Good color contrast. Nice cool looking spot for your respite. Sep 6th
94 Sep 23 Comment Looks to me like one adult is feeding a young one. You always come up with great shots. Good colors I think. Sep 6th
94 Sep 23 Comment I agree, a bit more contrast, but your choice to make it B&W is a wise one. Bit of a stretch as a nature photo?
