Anne, you caught a moment I wish I could have captured. I look for horses while traveling, and have never seen a colt nursing. I think Dean's crop is the more powerful one, but I understand you wanting to leave the top in. In my view, the only way you can do that is to darken it, so that it is not so white. I like your second crop much better with leaving the right greenery in, and then address the top white. Really gorgeous capture. |

Erin, This image is very interesting in cutting the person out of it. It does seem dark on my screen, and I agree with Dean on leaving the wheel in, and which then a vertical crop would be needed. I like the B&W of the main one too. |

Diana, really nice capture. You did a very good job of removing the other girl, and focusing on the main subject. The frozen action is sharp, and the crop is perfect. Good job! |

Denise, thank you. Really appreciate you listing the steps you did on it. I like the second one best, and never thought to take out the adult! |

Denise, I like what you did with it and improved it with your edits. Both the main and Carol's lighter one are both nice. I can't recommend anything further except to crop in more to really emphasis the flower more. This would make a beautiful card for many occasions. |

Jan, this gives us a bird's eye view of the lighthouse and scene. I like that you turned the bird, as it keeps us focused on the image. It is very playful and summery! |

What a beautiful photo you have made! I love the painterly aspect of it, and find it more soothing than the original. It gives me a peaceful feeling. |

Carol, this is a Wow photo. You did a wonderful job of making it more dynamic. I thought the male looking down was appropriate, and I would have left it like that. Really beautiful what you have done. |

Thank you for doing all that! I am glad you liked it, and I too thought it was about something vs of something. I try to capture scenes like that when I see them, and like what you have done. Asking the group...do you prefer the color or b&w? |
