Anne, this is a beautiful shot. I encourage you to go back and try out some of the settings Dean and Tim suggest as a fun exercise. I have a birds in flight setting and the minimum is 1000 shutter speed, with it being 4000 for hummingbirds. I think this bird slowed down in the landing process and you caught it at the right moment. My camera goes from from 24 to 600, so I would have shot it at 400-600 even close. I recently "practiced" with 12,000 shots in Port Aransas during bird migration. |

Blair, what a precious moment you captured. I would agree with the other comments on how to improve it, especially lighting the face of your granddaugher. Be sure and give her a printed copy of this for her to keep. She will appreciate it in time. |

Robert, I like the simplicity of the photo. I like the color one with the windows in the best for me. The two tone color works very well. Nice memory too. |

Michelle, I will just stick with the big picture on this one. There is so much going on in the photo, that it keeps drawing my eye from one detail to another. The colors are lovely and improved over the original. Very interesting! |

Tim, this is an incredible photograph that you put together! It should go into a competition (PSA has many), but as a composite and not a self-portrait. It really shows what a masterful photographer you are, and others should see it. |

Dean, you picked the right setting and got a beautiful photograph. The black and white conversion is excellent, and you should do well with this photograph, if you submit it in competition? That full moon, and cloud, is unique and cannot be seen often in a setting like this. |

Jan, thank you so much for that. Appreciate you seeing something that I could correct, and I will go with your suggestion! In a competition, the judge would probably think the same about the ladder and truck. |

Mary, thank you for posting this as I want to do more ICM too. Your selection of what to experiment with was good, and croping out and reducing the colored background really worked. Nice photo! |

Connie, you really added to your image with all the treatment you did. I like that you left the water droplets, and kept the background blurred. I will have to try some of the filters you mentioned. The details pull you in, and nicely done. |

Georgianna, you really added a nice textured backdrop to this breakfast item. The colors are muted and textured, adding to the original photo. Nicely done. |

Carol, this is a beautiful image. I am glad you posted the original, and see why you photographed it. The processing and creation of the alcove is very nicely done, and adds to the photograph. Well done! |

Thank you Connie. Appreciate your efforts and hearing of the results. I think the filter is what blocks other tries to alter it. I agree on the saturation, but that is what makes it pop. The title is Golden Forest Floor, because that's where the gold is! |
