If it is the detail of rust that you like, then maybe zoom in more on the detail and really show that off? Nice colors. |

Some nice props here. Is there something else in the Zane Grey books that could go in the photo. The gun might be staged to one side and something like dryed flowers (that your wife might already have) in there too. Just a different idea to try. If you redo it with any of the comments above or with mine, would love to see that version. |

Now this is an interesting photo! I love the pink shoes, and against the snow or ice, they are shown off. This is an interesting still life, and I had to try to understand if it was snow or ice or sand? As an image, I think you might try more of a blue sky, to contrast with the shoes. There really is not a story, which a still life does not need, so that's ok too. |

I can't do this with water at all, so I am impressed with your effort and photo. I agree with Damon that more of the context would be helpful, and not take away from the blurred waterfall. Left as it is, a pretty blue shot! |

Nice shot of the raptor. I agree with most of the other comments. Cropped more, as Dean suggested, would really focus on the bird. I find the background too similar to the color of the bird, especially the dark brown on the bottom. The crop will take care of a lot of that, but otherwise the background color needs to be one to highlight the bird. |

This is so unlike your landscape photography! I love the composition and the colors. I don't like the labels, but I understand you intentionally left them on. The radial filters work really well here, instead of a vinette? Having been out photographing bluebonnets and poppies blowing in the wind, a nice still life is comforting to view. What about doing one with just the most beautiful fruit you can find in season? |
