This is the edited version that I printed and have on display. I think it is better without the limbs. |

Nice shot of the egret taking off. I take a lot of bird shots, and use a really fast burst to freeze the bird's movement as much as I can. I would just encourage you to wait for the bird to face you when you go out again, or to drive up farther and look back at it. It is worth the wait to get a good shot of the face and eye. The colors in this are lovely. I would crop out more the dirt and sky, and get a tigher shot on the bird. |

A nice centerpiece shot that you could use on your holidays cards. My mind says I want to see the rest of the shot at the bottom, but I trust that you saw it all and chose this crop. Nice colorful image. |

Damon, I liked this image very much. I saw it much earlier, but just now commenting on it. The light on the face is very nice, and the background is perfect for the image. I might have cropped it more, with less jacket, but the way you present it, it works. |

Really nice image. I liked it the first time I saw it, and just now commenting on it. The symmetry is gorgeous, and should do well in an archtectual catergory in a competition. The reflections in the water add to the beauty. I prefer the second image too, with more light on the lighthouse. Very good image. |

What a challenge you took on! I am a diver, and used to try to get underwater shots, but never with a "real" camera. Underwater cameras, yes, but never a "real" camera and I think that is what you used. Regarding the image, it is a good first try. But there are so many beautiful colorful fish in the water to shoot instead. I know they are fast, but you have the camera to do that! |

I think this is a beautiful image. Of course the sun and starburst make it shine, but I love to see bales of hay when we travel. It is difficult to capture, and I think Dean has gotten the beauty out of this scene. I too like the bluer sky. The only thing I see similar to my image is that they both deal with sunsets, but very different. |

Crop it out or "erase" it? The crop seems too severe, but I know it is a distraction. |
