Ella I was intrigued with the story! I am confused by the foliage in front which almost feels like a refelction through glass. Overall I feel the image lacks definition and could use some contrast & exposure reduction. |

Hello Susan, This is a lovely image of a part of the world I like very much! My view is that they are two competing focal points, the central rock face and the bright waves behind it. I would consider using elliptical layers to accent the light flowing from the right to keep your eye on the central focal point. Hard to describe verbally so I have taken the liberty of making a rough example |

My compliments on a great & moving image. The story is conveyed in a simple way with this excellent composition. I think it would be worthwhile to clone out the dark "smudges" along the upper right edge to remove this distraction. |

Ian, Please note I am not qualified to comment on studio photography. I think you have done well with this image for a first attempt but as previously noted, the higher tonal value on the arm does draw your eye away from the face. Using either clarity of curves, I would add back some light and texture to the dress and particulaty the hair. |

Peter. two very good images combined. I really like the sky and you have finessed the processing superbly. The Canyon is well captured depite the strong overhead light. I think I am confused when they are combined as I expect to see some impact from the dense clouds. I might consider introducing slight shadows onto the floor. |

John...."bemused" as per your description would also make a fine title. I feel the bright clouds and barn's high tonal value are visually competing and draw your eye away from the focal point of the the two animals. I would darken them to draw attention back to this timely and fun capture. |
