Hello Ellen,
I am a strong admirer of the precision in your photography. Loads of detail, clarity and near perfect tone. The out of focus portion of the front of the platform is in so much contrast to the rest as to make it look as it is a fault. I would see if you have some more images in your stack to fix it or consider to slightly darken it to reduce it's presence. |

Hello Susan,
Great image and well processed. I would like to recommend cloning out that "museum board" on the wall to simplify the story of an abandoned dwelling. In addition, I would suggest you adjust your curves to bring out the extreme end of your black and white tones some more and provide a slight straightening. I attach my rough effort to illustrate the point. |

Hello Ed,
An interesting story that needs to be told. My suggestions for your consideration would be to :
- Reduce the size & brightness of the washing machines while still them letting be the bright part of the image.
- Darken the backgound and sky so it does not compete with the "machines" |

Hello Ian,
I appreciate your comment that this was a quick edit but your instincts that this was an interesting image was a good one. Silhouettes of people are capable of developing good stories to allow the viewer to be more curious in trying to work our what is happening. Therefore I would retain the figure descending down the stairs as it becomes the predicting element as to what happens next. The window above the two central figures has some dirt that could be productively cleaned off and I would consider cloning out the light fitting above the last figure on the right. |

Hello Peter,
Great composition and positioning of the Church. Your processing and tonal control are faultless. I am in awe of that dark underside to the clouds low in the horizon creating that wonderful series of dark & light lines. Without yet noticing John & Ella's comments, I found my eye consistently pulled to the flag pole and away from the church and would also recommend you clone it out. |

Hello John, I really like this image and feel it has impact. The composition is thoughtful with the leading lines, the central tree and horizon. Finally as you state, what is a landscape without some weather to add to the story. I believe it is worth while developing the image further in a more overtstated way (just a personal perspective) by adding a layer on the sky to darken and enhance the effect. On the overall images you might consider pushing and pulling the B&W's to increase the contrast to the sky. Lastly, you have more than 10 spots from your sensor in the sky that came more obvious as I experimented with your image. I attach a demo I tried to illustrate the direction & I hope it will help. |
