Thank you Ella, I must credit the incredible amount of detail that the Leica Q2 monochrome captures rather than any skill on my part. With that said, this probably version 4 of this image I have invested in at least 15 hours into post processing to get it to this point. |

Ella...excellently executed shot. Providing you are thinking of this image as a Mono & not nature, Peter's suggestion about that branch is a good one. I might consider going further and bringing out more detail of the branch since it has such interesting textures. I went back & forth on this but I would recommend you consider flipping the image horizontally as I think it creates better diaganols & balance |

Hello Susan, what a fine image and even more impressive is the quality of your post processing. I would love to see a shot of it hanging on your wall! Did you frame the canvas? |

Hello Ed, this image has potential and it needs a decision whether it is about the bridge or the sky? You are shooting with direct overhead light and that makes it hard to create tonal textures that would give the image depth. Can you try the shot in softer & lower light? |

Ian, this image is a challenge in many ways. I think you have done well in the execution of the photo but in post processing it looks a little over exposed to me. I made a single adjustment to the attached image in CURVES RGB by adjusting it slightly down in the center. The levels are still correct but the softer/darker hue seems to reduce the imapact of the natural discoloration of the statue |

Hello Peter
Another excellent image to challenge us to come up with suggestions. While the image has excellent tonal range it seem a bit flat to my eye. When you ran it through CEP4, it seems you might not have considered using the Lighten/Darken filter you normally use. As an alternative, I would suggest darkening the foregound to give the image a base and run a dodging brush on the far hills. It is a very small edit that might help |

John...I can see why you were attacted to the image. The finish (cladding ) on the building makes a fine image. What do you think of removing the cylinder object from the top |
