92 Jan 23 Comment I really like the geographic shapes here. I wanted it to continue into the negative space. Jan 11th
92 Jan 23 Comment I like the movement of the skaters in this photo and also think it's best in B&W. I actually like having the beach in the shot because it provides context - now I know they are on a boardwalk. Without the beach, they could be anywhere. It is a shame that the 2 men in the back ground distract from the 2nd skater from the right. I started setting my ISO to 400 after getting way too many fuzzy street shots. Jan 11th
92 Jan 23 Comment Very expressive eyes! I like the depth of field with just enough information to provide context. I find the dark area just below the eyes and the back of the head just behind the eyes to be somewhat distracting. But, I'm sure it would have been a challenge to get the same effect without this. And, I like that just the eyes are showing - it makes them more compelling. Jan 11th
92 Jan 23 Comment I love Essaouira. There is so much energy in the shipyard and old city and this photo captures that energy exceptionally well. I like the actions of the fisherman and their faces are very expressive and interesting. I think your crop is very well done, creating a nice triangle between the three men. I also wondered if it would be better in B&W. Jan 11th
92 Jan 23 Comment Interesting photo. I like the matching hats and sunglasses. And, they look like their dog! I wonder if having less depth of field would have addressed the distracting background. Jan 11th
92 Jan 23 Reply Thanks. I agree that the cropping improves the image. I'll check out the Nikon Coolpix. Jan 11th
92 Jan 23 Reply I really like your crop. Thanks so much for the suggestion. Jan 11th
92 Jan 23 Reply Thanks. I've been using my DSLR for street photography for many years and I don't normally find it to be a problem. That said, I've been thinking about getting a mirrorless camera and this experience got me looking again at my options. Jan 11th
