I think I like this better because it puts the people in the lower 1/3 of the photo rather in the center. Thanks for the suggestion! |

This is great! I like that you included enough background to give us context. I like the story of this young man growing up to be a doctor - his current and future life. I also like that he made eye contact with you, which draws me into the photo. |

Nice! Very dynamic. I wonder if you could remove some of the shadow from his face (the problem with hats!). I like the silver door - I feel like he's on his way to the door and will enter into somewhere interesting. |

I really like this, especially the dog which provides the 3rd end of a triangle between all the faces. The guy on the right has a really interesting look.
It's frustrating when people want to pose and I want them to keep doing what they're doing. I find that I need to take a few photos of them posing and then hang out until they are bored with me and go back to their business. Sometimes I'll go away and come back.

I like this photo and for once prefer the color version. I like the color of the wall and the clothing is bright and cheerful, matching the children's expressions. I also like the shadows on the wall.
I have no issues with your post processing since this is not photojournalism. We are creating images that tell a story so if post processing helps tell your story, I'm okay with it. I prefer having the full hand in the photo to cutting him off. |

Very interesting and dynamic photo. I also think the window adds more interest to the shot. I like the shopping cart in the foreground because it's contents tell me something about the women buying cookies. I like how you cropped it.
I usually don't ask permission for street photos unless I'm taking a street portrait. I find that if they do notice me, it's easy to tell whether they are annoyed with being photographed. If they are, I just move on. Sometimes I'll smile and make eye contact to give them a chance to wave me off. They rarely do. |

The Street Philosophy of Garry Winogrand is $125 on Amazon! I'll look for it in used bookstores and might get lucky. |

Here's a new version cropped using a 9x16 ratio. What do you think? |

Thanks. Using a 9x16 ratio is a very good idea. I'm playing around with it. I never thought of changing the ratio and it definitely improves the final image. |

Thanks. I'm playing around with crop. When I keep the street light, I don't care for the amount of sky. |
